I am really enjoying this series! I especially appreciated you saying you don't bid landscape jobs per hour but more in terms of 1/2 day or full day. That made so much sense. No matter how small a job is, it always seems to have 3-4 hours in it by the time you get supplies, do the job, and clean-up/haul off debris.

South Charlotte is so pretty, you would not know from this video how close to uptown you are. But yeah price isn’t something that’s a huge barrier for that neighborhood lol.

Your comment about sticking to a few select core competencies when starting off really resonates with me. I have been in business for going on 8 months now, and I have found myself agreeing to do seeding, weeding, aerating jobs, etc... and found that the jobs are paying for my equipment to do the work, with very little profit outside of the new equipment. Def something I have been reconsidering lately.

4:21 oh my god that was genius Mike. At first I was thinking there is no way they’re going to take the English ivy job. But then when you explained to the client how you were going to do it and what you were going to do. It all made sense, and then the explanation was pure genius.

I learned so fast to say no to off jobs and what not.. so many people want a "do it all" guy. I had a lady ask me to put together her swing set she bought... Like hell no! I don't even have time to do that for my own kids 😅

Someone else’s comment on how this one client can change a businesses life is true. I have had multiple clients who refer me to 5+ of their friends and that’s a true money glitch

How do you have a set amount of budgeted hours for weeding? Considering the weeds could grow twice as much in some months of the year vs other months

I’d like a breakdown of how they price jobs and how often they set them as this is a weather dependant industry and unpredictable so I’d like to know how he takes the guess work out of it

As for P2P..... do you have incentives for people in the call center? I understand those in the field get compensated for an efficient job. But what if some upsells a client? Do they see anything from that job?
