OMG why Is the Taj Lake Palace of Udaipur, In India Not Included in this list??? It's Like One of the Most beautiful, Elegant Palaces Of the World. It's made by white marble and IS ON A LAKE!! 😍😍😍

I first visited the forbidden city in China in 1997. I was totally awed by its grandeur and intricate design and architecture. The palace grounds cover a total land size of 72 hectares and it’s reported to have 9999.5 rooms. The guide told me it would take us 3 days to fully tour the palace grounds but alas we were only given 3 hours to superficially tour the palace. 😂 I intended to make a return visit to it but somehow it never happens after all these years....😅

I have no idea why they chose Buckingham Palace (it is easily one of the ugliest in the country), if they wanted one from England they should have chosen Blenheim Palace; which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

I personally like the Asia palaces because they painted the palace with various colours compared to the others. It gave them something like mistycal warm vibes.

Ironically, in the middle ages European architecture was very colorful (for example cathedrals were painted, like Notre-Dame). It's after the Renaissance that the successive architecture movements started using less colors to have a more elegant vibe. From that point on cathedrals also stoped being painted with colors.

@@xenotypos That’s really interesting,Because in the middle age China it’s the complete opposite, they used to advocate that kind of pure/simple beauty, like clothing and architecture both used simple style and color for that feel of elegance , especially in Tang and Song dynasty. Japanese architecture has quite a similarity with that era of China because China heavily influenced them

Buckingham Palace should not be on this list. It's a very bland stately home that became a palace when Queen Victoria took it as a residence and there are many far superior stately homes in the UK. Both Hampton Court Palace and Windsor Castle (which his a place by virtue of being a Royal residence) are far superior. I've visited many of these places and my favourite was The Alhambra. I don't know why but there was simply something so moving and beautiful about it. The word magical fully applies to it.

Hawa Mahal is not a palace. It was just viewing windows for Royal women to watch down at market life and Royal procession on the road below. Very poor understanding!!! Royal Palace of Jaipur which is located nearby is not mentioned. Wow what a misguide!!! And, you have shown Royal Palace of Udaipur along Lake Pichola in opening sequences with it's splendour in day and night time , but mischievously that was absent in your list. Jodhpur's Royal Umaid Bhavan Palace is not there. I understand that it's converted now to the world's best numbered hotel, with small portion open to common public. Google it for photos and videos to see real beauty of palaces of Rajasthan, India.

None of the palaces in the list are more beautiful than Mysore Palace and Umaid Bhawan Palace in India. And Peterof Palace is more beautiful than Winter Palace in reality. Agree that Forbiden palace is the largest palace complex in the world but I doubt is the most beautiful. I dont mind to give top position to Palace of Varsales or even Patiola palce though. By the way, Hava Mahal is not even a seperate palace but is just a part of Jaipur city palace complex.
