I bought the eagle f1 supersports back in 2022 after watching your videos, and I really can't praise them enough. the road feel and dry grip is literally insane. I am a bit of a tire nerd, and so, want to try as many tires as possible really, but the f1 supersports are so incredible that I don't want to risk replacing them with something less fun. Yes they're not the best in the wet, but they give really good feedback in the wet, so it's never a problem. I also got a set of Nokian Hakka Black 3 tires as spring / autumn tires for my car, and even though they are classed as UHP, I would rather call them a touring tire with uhp grip. The steering response is just not there, and the tire doesn't feel like it want's to go fast, but on the plus side, they're comfy and have low noise. We also got some toyo proxes TR1s for our 97' Volvo 850 turbo, and even though they don't have the best initial response, they load up nicely and they just feel correct on the car with 17"s and a 45 sidewall. They just feel like they match the chassis and just the older style of it. I haven't seen you test either the Hakka Black 3 or Proxes TR1s, which was probably why I got them myself, because I wanted to know what they were like. Your reviews are always the best, and thanks to them I have the F1 supersports, and couldn't be happier with them!

Great content! Love your videos and the knowledge you provide. One thing I can tell you I am looking forward to putting my summer Tires back on my car in a few weeks. As much as I like the Michelin crossclimate 2 there's nothing like a summer Tire. Unfortunately here in Indiana we had no snow so I was not able to test the michelin's out. I have been an Enthusiast about tires since 1994 when I put my first set of Bridgestone Blizzak tires on a 1993 Plymouth Sundance Duster. Small car with a heavy V6 up front I could go anywhere. There were really no all-wheel drive vehicles just pickups with four-wheel drive. I'll remember the countless people I surprised by the way I was able to maneuver around them and they had such a puzzled look on their face. It wasn't unusual to have 12 to 18 inches of snow in Rhode Island so every time it snowed I headed out and had a blast. No one ever heard of a winter tire they just called them snow tires but not like these bridgestone's. People would ask me about them and go out and purchase them the next day. I like to mention tires to people but as you know some just don't care lol! Take care

First of all, great video! As others have pointed out, your content is one of the best sources online when doing a research on tyres. One suggestion: Can you do a review on Continental Ultracontact NXT, which is a truly interesting tyre since it’s the first sustainability focused tyre, and there are absolutely no reviews done on it yet. So you’d be the first to do so. I looked into it since I need a 235/45/R20 summer tyre for my PHEV SUV, and my options are quite limited. I’m in between the Michelin Primacy 4 Plus, Continental UC 6, and this one: Continental UC NXT. Keep up the good work, we truly appreciate it!

@@tyrereviewsnot the same guy, but I have them on my Maserati Levante and lowered amg E53 coupe. So far 10‘000km on the Amg and they cope the negative camber extremely well. I rarely drive this car on the wet. I‘d say the front tires are good for at least the next 10‘000km, they wear much faster since they handle all the steering. The rear tires are basically brand new haha. On the Maserati, a lot of high speeds and temperature, over 15‘000km and similar wear to the amg. I really like them! Seem to fit every car

@@v12-s65 Do you run higher air pressures than usual? I find the sidewalls very soft.
@v12-s65
@v12-s65 2 ай бұрын
@@big-R I usually run the manufacturers recommendation plus a bit more. They aren‘t as stiff as an advan v107 but for me that’s a good thing. They roll comfortable enough for a sports tire while retaining the directness. So for the Merc I run +0.1 Bar, which means 3.0 front and 2.5 on the rear. The Maserati Levante with bigger tires and weight is at 2.6 front and 2.7 Bar rear. Pretty much all cars I have ride at around the 2.9-3.0 Bar mark +/- when I know I‘m gonna drive a lot of autobahn. Cars aren‘t that lightweight anymore unfortunately. If I did like 2.4 on the front of the mercedes the shoulders would be erased within weeks of daily driving, but this is a car specific thing. The old Sport Contact 5 was done within 15‘000km

@@v12-s65 Thanks for the tip. I tried running Mfg recommended (2,4) and then even a little bit more on my E46 M3 (2,6); however, with both settings the sidewalls were so soft that I'm surprised they didn't jump off the rim at the track (the markings were...shocking). Next time I'll probably then also go with at least 2,8 bar, if not 3,0 bar for a 1550KG car. In my opinion this sucks for a "performance" tire.

@@tyrereviewsinterested in any mods you put on the F80. On our F87, it seems like the stock size RE-71RS tires in their staggered setup overwhelm the suspension and camber, and scrb/understeer hard. This was a really informative video even if not much has changed. I know I have said it before but we really need a test of both the Hankook iON EVO AS and the summer version on an EV. I am running 235/45/18 Hankook iON EVO AS tires on my 2022 Model 3 Performance and the efficiency on my daily commute is simply astounding when speeds are at a 60 mph average. As speeds increase the wind resistance becomes the only factor that matters. However, there is road construction on my commute so speeds are limited and that is where the Hankook efficiency advantage shines. I can easily do 220 wh/mi or less with a 50-60 mph average speed. I also drag race my Model 3 Performance on all season tires and I have seen almost no performance loss at all over the Pirelli PZ4 and Michelin PS4S tires I had before. This is only straight line acceleration so the tires don’t matter as much with AWD but these tires seem to do just fine at the Dragstrip. On a road course is where I would expect them to lag behind the better summer tires. That is why we definitely need to see you test them. If you need any help with acquiring the EV or the tires or anything let me know. I would be happy to help.

My fav all seaons : Goodyear vector 4 gen 3. Ran 70.000km on them before they became old but still good to go. Got one tire totally ripped by a piece of metal on the highway, i drove at 120kmh for 500 meters on a totally flat tire without much problem in the stability and steering. I climb coast in the snow and got very good grip in summer and drive under the belgian rain on the highway like its dry. Excellent tires, i bought a new set today

I’ve not seen you do a review on the Bridgestone Turanza 6 Launched last year. I think it replaced the 005 I had them fitted all round summer last year 225/55/17 XL on my insignia. What a tyre, wet weather feels like dry. Zero aquaplaning Great dry grip if not a little floaty for the first 2-300 miles So good i just replace my fronts today as the old ones were down to 2mm after 18,000 miles. While still offering immense grip and stopping in wet and dry, the ability to deal with standing water was diminishing, which you would expect. I can also confirm after numerous tests myself, an average of 4mpg saved once i switched. Which is pretty impressive for day to day. Average over 1000 miles before the switch was 39.8mpg After switch 44.2mpg And I ran that test multiple times in the build up to getting the tyres and after. Not the cheapest of tyre but more than worth it. Car:- 2012 vauxhall insignia 2.0 cdti 130bhp 1600kg car weight 225/55/R15 101w extra load.

You want to hear about the Bridgestone Potenza Sport AS. I was stupid enough to put these tires on a 2024 Kia Carnival. My goal was to have better rain tires that don't cost a arm and a leg. It's a little louder compared to OE tire but better than what I was expecting. Kids didn't complain. It's bumpier on some roads and smoother on others. The van listens to me now. It goes where I want it to go. Responsive steering. On the rain, it seems to deliver(Cannot tell if it's better that other tires). Tried in big rain on highway but cannot tell where the limit was. Other cars were too slow. The van didn't go sideways like OE tires.

@@tyrereviews For starters, I drive about 240km of dirt road weekly just for shopping and then another 120km to camp and back home. So I do quite a bit of gravel roads mixed of hard crushed rock and soft sandy areas with some mud and grey clay thrown in. Also ran them through winter in Quebec Canada and was I liked running the Toyo AT3 and BFG K02. Currently trying Yokohama g015 (came with the truck) and hated them for winter so I grabbed a set of Nokian LT3. With Nitto Ridge grapplers were probably the best in those conditions but they chipped away fast. My dad runs Cooper Disc AT3 LTX - I had no complaints with them just not aesthetically pleasing for me. General Grabber ATX was meh - really surprised by how similar thread pattern is to K02's. Nitto Terra grapplers were sh i e t for the conditions I tried them in and had them replaced by the ridge grapplers.
