I really like two mascara "cocktails". First, use a non-waterproof mascara and top it with one that is waterproof. This makes it easier to wash off the waterproof and still have all the benefits it gives. Also, I really like topping black mascara with a colored one. Try green or purple eyeshadow with blue mascara! Or a brown look with burgundy mascara. By putting your colour over black you get a deeper colour and more definition against your shadows. In 50 years of playing with makeup I have tried a lot of mixes. The one I won't do again is Vaseline and eyeshadow on the lips. What a mess! And it stained around my lips!!!😂 Love your videos and glad you're back. Take a break again if you need to. I'll be here waiting for you.

I love mixing a face primer with a liquid blush and then applying it. I've found that it extends the wear time to all day, especially if the blush by itself doesn't have any staying power.

I have thicker/darker brows, and what I like to do is fill them in with my usual product, and then I like to brush them through with a brow gel that's a taupe colour, so a couple shades lighter. I feel like it gives the illusion of highlights but in a really nice way!

I have found if I get a concealer that is too thick and makes me look older and dry even though I thoroughly prepped my under eyes, I can take a bit of eye cream and mix them and it looks so much better. Now the concealer won’t go to waste.

I love mixing the Wet n Wild Tinter Hydrator with the L’Oreal Fresh Wear foundation. I also use the Elf gripping primer all over the face, and apply the pore filling primer just where I need it. I took your advice and bought the Elf lipstick in Crème, which goes on top of a darker lipstick, before gloss. I will admit I layer lip products until I get the effect I’m looking for!!

I was curious if I could use a gripping primer under a pore filler and get them to last more. I have deep pitted scars but don't like using smoothing primers on their own because I find my makeup doesn't last over them as much. I wonder if I only like the grippy primers because of how they feel and it tricking my brain into thinking it'll last longer. I'll have to do one side with and one without primer to actually test if it works for me.

@@pinkbubblesnake That is the way I use them. I let the gripping primer set up for several minutes. I find something to do like brush my teeth. Then I press the pore filling product only. I don’t drag the product because I think it does disrupt the gripping primer. I hope you can get them to work for you!!

The one thing that has been a game changer for me is Nivea Creme. My under eye puffiness, bags and fine lines are gone. Nothing has worked on them in 15 years I’ve tried. It’s amazing as a primer and totally smooths all my texture. I use the formula sold in US. It’s so amazing and has replaced all of my skincare. I no longer feel the need to use serums, retinol or exfoliate. My husband has complimented over and over. Most days I feel confident just using a tinted sunscreen and setting powder. I apply the crème morning and night after cleansing with a cold cream.

@@Jeepgirls1978 I use it all over my face, entire eyelids, under eyes and neck. I don’t wear foundation but I do wear a very hydrating tinted sunscreen. I set it with powder and it works amazingly as a primer under the rest of my face products.

Beauty bay makes lipglosses that are surprisingly pigmented. I have a really light and a really dark one, and let me tell you when I’m dismayed to get a lip shade that is not what it looked like in the swatch, these glosses have saved my booty. They also have a nice cushy formula and smell like vanilla pudding 😊. Gerard cosmetics has similar glosses if you want more high-end.

I have an interesting combo for lashes that refuse to hold a curl (courtesy of Shonagh Scott). After curling your lashes, apply eyeshadow primer to your lashes with a clean spooly and let it dry. After it's dry just apply your mascara as usual. Shonagh used Urban Decay Primer Potion in her video; all I had was Milani, but it worked like a charm!

I recently used a liquid blush, but it was TOO BRIGHT. (I uses too much) after blending out with my sponge, I put a nude ( pale, neutral pink) powder blush over it. Worked wonderfully.

Not a color combo, but I love using Maybelline Vinyl Ink with NYX Butter Gloss. Apply a layer of Vinyl Ink, blot & apply another layer. When the glossiness starts to fade, use the NYX Butter Gloss as needed. The color lasts forever! The gloss doesn't break down the Vinyl Ink like other glosses can.

The combo that I use always is the eyebrow tattoos paired with an eyeliner pencil or eyeliner pen because sometimes the tattoos are a little sparse or just not very natural looking especially because I do not have any eyebrows due to illness

Hi Zabrena , I saw a couple of KZbin shorts where the KZbinr applied a black eyeshadow base then applied a shimmery eyeshadow over the top. I want to try this because it looked amazing especially with blue . I'm hoping it will come out just as amazing on me. The lip liner and lipstick combo is a good idea as there are always lipsticks that don't suit, and just adding a different liner helps make it warmer or more neutral ect 😊

I'm a pink, cool undertoned person that does have some contrast between skin (pale) and hair (ashy dark brown), but not maximum (not white skin and full on black hair). This means I cannot use shades that are very intense, as my natural coloring will fade out and make me look pale instantly. A grey medium brown will suit me better than a very dark brown. I love my taupes. I am cool toned, but I can definetly pull off slightly warm tones, due to the mostly brown but partually green eyes and my brown hair coloring. So, what do I do? I make most colors muted myself. When I have an eyeshadow that is too pigmented/warm, I try to tone it down with another cooler color in my palette, making it pull more towards neutral, but not too far to keeping the tad of warmth for example. You can do this by paying attention to how much you mix another color in. This can create some incredible shades and more depth to your overall eyeshadow look. The colors don't really matter that much so just experiment with this if you're like me! It makes you use all eyeshadows in a big palette too! The same counts for lipsticks, powders, liquids, a lot of products really. Feel like you can't use a shade in a palette because it's either too cool/warm/contrast? Just mix it! Some palettes have warm and cool shades on purpose to be versatile that way. That is how you use eyeshadow palettes and colors. Just because you are cool toned, does not mean you can only wear cool tones. And the same goes for warm tones. Before I knew that I was a 1 and done eyeshadow kind of guy and I didn't understand how to use a full palette!

Hair dryer or pass a lighter through eyelash curler, metal part, quickly, don't overdo it , you want just enough heat, nothing that would burn you or anything!! Always test the heat , make sure it's never to hot before putting up to your eyelashes ❤😊

Hair ties, rubber bands, tinsel, string and thread. I am a Veterinarian, and saw more than one cat with a needle in the abdomen because it ate thread and the needle was still attached. Please be careful!
