We just wrapped up the football season today. I coached for the first time w/out any experience (playing or coaching). Because they really needed coaches. I was asst/safety coach. If I can do it, anyone can. Trust me. At first I was pretty nervous for a myriad of obvious reasons…4th grader playing tackle football (no flag avail) and my lack of football knowledge being the main reasons... it ended up being the most rewarding and enjoyable experiences I’ve ever had in my life. My son and I are now closer than ever! It was a joy watching all of the boys grow so much in 3 months. We won our first game today and all the boys played their best game of the season hands down. My little guy had 15 tackles, 120 yds and 4 TD’s😊. Proud papa/coach. Sad it’s over! On to ski/basketball season!

Thanks for posting this. I had a parent that was over eager for me to perform well in sports. My mom tells me horror stories of my Dad screaming at me on the baseball diamond. I am trying to avoid that with my child now. Thanks for posting this.

Comparisons is something my parents never did and I really appreciated that. This video also works for parents of musicians and performers.

I disagree with some of this ! You cannot have positive without negative ! Focus on both

Thanks for the suggestion but privacy, along with consent, has always been valued. Now that they are older, if they desired to be in a video we would then have the discussion.
