Thank you so much, Katie! I started lifting heavier a few months ago and the scale has gone up slightly and it has messed with my head! Even though people say "you look great" and I feel good. The scale can discourage. How often would you recommend weighing? Once a month? Thank you for your balanced approach. :)
@LoveSweatFitness7 ай бұрын
Oh yes I totally get that! Yea, at most I would say 1x a month to just "check in". The hard part is any number of things could make the scale move up or down 3-5pounds from day to day so it's still not a great indicator, but can be somewhat helpful as long as you understand it's not the end all be all to what is actually happening.

Hi Katie. Thank you so much for this. Quick question…I’m very confused about the idea of doing 10,000 steps a day. Is this something you do on top of your cardio? It seems like most health coaches push for 10,000 steps a day on top of everything else. I’m so confused. Please help!
@LoveSweatFitness6 ай бұрын
In general, you will hear a lot of trainers suggesting 10k steps on top of your other workout. Does it work? Definitely. Is it easy for most to accomplish? No, not really. I like to break up walking into smaller sessions throughout my day, quick like 15 min walks can get you there. But, you can of course see results without the extra steps as well.
