I am 65 and I am lucky enough to live the Lake Life. I mostly wear cut off jean shorts and flip flops. I like to dress in the morning to be prepared to go hiking , boating , kayaking. I just took the boat off the lake today. When is to old to stop wearing cut offs?My legs are still nice but figure isn’t great ( size 16). I still feel like a teenager so I don’t feel self conscious wearing shorts. I still put on makeup and have no fuss hair cut and color. I still style my outfit living in the woods. When I got very sick and was stuck in bed, lots of issues, I put on a lot of weight and had to go buy big clothes, I got rid of all my small clothes... now I have recovered somewhat and loosing weight and everything is falling off me! So I'm again going through all my clothes and now I'm getting rid of the very big ones and altering in some of the smaller ones.... but a good clear out of the wardrobe every 2-4yrs, what are we wearing, what fits, what do we like now (as our tastes do change) what looks good (as our colouring can also alter, as we age especially, etc etc).... so regular declutters and looking for 1 or 2 new pieces each season is always worthwhile 👍👍👍❤️

Like you, my lifestyle is pretty casual, but like you said, I want to look put together always! Really enjoying the lady jacket style, and the one you are waiting on looks beautiful! Button placement is something I'm very picky about, so I never buy anything with chest pockets with buttons. Same with shirts...no chest buttons. Agree about jeans. When you find a brand that's perfect, stock up! My favorite dress pants are the Hampshire ankle from Talbot's, because they are full length on me which is my preferred length. My wardrobe is extremely casual. I have dresses in my closet that I’ve never worn. I bought a few a couple years ago for one of my granddaughters graduation. And I ended up not wearing it. I’m glad now. Because it was outside on dirty bleachers. And I wore white jeans that I couldn’t get clean even with bleach. So I had to throw them away. I love Old Navy jeans. I’m not sure I have any in my closet right now. But I usually do. I like their sweaters too. I bought a black sweater that I wore for quite a few years. I think I just donated it. I have a few pairs of trousers in my closet. And I don’t think I’ve worn them either. But I like them so they will stay. Maybe someday I’ll need something besides my denim, shorts and sweatpants. I like wide leg jeans. I’m not sure the ones I have will fit me. But I have gotten some new straight leg jeans. I think the wide leg ones I do have are from Old Navy. A lot of pants and jeans I buy are always way too long for me. And I either have to hem them or give them away. I have two granddaughters who are both way taller than me. I will be seeing one of them this weekend. I have a new pair of pants, they could be from Old Navy, that I’m going to give to her. I have kitten heel boots in my closet. And our yard is all rock, and so is my driveway. So I only wear flats and have to be careful in them.

Hi Cindy, I just received my Talbots order and had to try the jacket on, so I thought that you might like to know that it fits true to size. Even though the jacket is "blue" to me it's more of a green blue. When I hold it next to my blue Athleta jacket, it definitely pulls on the green side. Hope that helps you!

Beautiful collection, Cathy! Thank you for sharing with us. I do have to give my opinion of Spanx thought. I know you love their products but I just don't agree. For two reasons: 1) the air essentials - I look at them and they snag. I wore my 1/4 zip and pants on a car trip. When I got to my destination, the top had several snags in it. And no, I did not wear braclets/watch.. 2) sizing of pants - just don't work for me. I have to many trial n errors and just don't make sense mailing things back in forth. I may, perhaps, consider the wide leg pant as I'm in need of a nice pair of pants for work. THANK YOU so much for all you put into these videos. You are looking fabulous!

I do like the Talbots 3/4 sleeve tees - the petite length is pretty good, but I still wish they were a little shorter, and for me, white is an all year color(I have 4 of them). I do like cardigans, but have to wear shoulder pads to give some structure (the gel ones from Amazon), otherwise they can look frumpy. I have a similar jacket to that faux leather one, from JJill, and I love it - it goes with so much, and I do like the collarless style, especially with a big scarf! Love ankle boots - looking for a burgundy suede pair this season.

I look forward to that because my daily life is a little bit hard right now. I will start Cardiac Rehab next Tuesday and this I’m told will help me as well. As for jeans…with an Apple figure, pull-on jeans stretch out by the end of the day. Also, they tend to creep down due to my belly so I find I am pulling them up frequently. Does this happen with the brands that you wear and recommend?

I placed the order from Old Navy to be able to show several affordable options. My job is to show new fashion to my viewers, so having to purchase new things to show is something that I have to do.

Not for everyday wear for most people. She probably writes alot off as business expenses. Avg person does not need alot of expensive clothes to go out of style in a couple of years. I see her point and definitely see yours.

There should be a skip icon to click. I’ve noticed that KZbin has been posting longer ads too on the channels that I watch.

@@stylewithcathyover50 No skipping! There’s a black box where the skip should be. not functional, though. This will be enough to make me stop watching videos! Cathy, I’m not saying this is your fault in any way.
