An important tip that was taught to me: Always attend a wedding with AT LEAST 2 drones. If you want to capture the moment the couple walks out of the church, one drone must be in the air shooting and the other one must be on the ground, all 4 motors turned on and ready to fly off in case there is a problem with drone 1.

Maybe one more tip: make sure you can legally fly at the location and are not in any restricted area, such as airports, harbours, military restricted zones etc. You should always check that. And don’t forget to charge your batteries up front. Nothing worse in a time pressured shoot than not having enough battery life and needing to charge.

To add after shooting drones in weddings for 4 years after watching this video: -Use tripod mode for the venue establishing shots. -Have your 107 ready for the drone Karens -Have a backup drone -Hire a drone pilot if you can -Include doing drone photos, the photographer will thank you -Shoot in 4K 60 D-CINELIKE to give your editor options -Shoot some clips to get some stock images of the venue -Give your bride and groom advance instructions if you want them to interact with the drone. Remember most wedding videos will only use 3-5 secs of your drone shots. So shoot with a purpose.

Would you recommend being in 4k and zooming in as to stay back for safety and noise. Mavic Air2s zoom would take it down to a 1080p minimum. I think it would also help with any lower obstacles. Thanks

Hello there i saw your video and thanks for your advice. I am. Thinking to buy a bew drone for wedding shooting and others but like many people i am between mavic 2 pro and mavic air 2.... I know the differences between them but i wohld like to know your opinion... You think i can have a professional result with mavic air 2? Price and age(2020) for mavic air 2 and 4kin 60fps are positive points... Camera of pro 2 of course better but price and age (model of 2018) are in negative points...

Hi folks, as a newbie , I am trying to decide if your cause is the best way to go, I have no experience in any of the areas you talk about and at the same time it has my interest. I just purchased my first drone, a ski mini2, arrives tomorrow. Your master class looks good but I know nothing about editing. I looked at the Filmora editor you have a link to. I do not intend to make the next Ten Commandments film, maybe wedding, events etc. I know you said beginners but my experience with people who say they are instructors teach at rocket speeds and fly through screens. I think you may get my point. At my age I want something fun and allows me to be able to bring great memories to others. Are you right for me? Looking forward to hearing from you. Michael

Hey Michael! Thank you for your message! The first thing I would say is that our course has a 30 day, no questions asked, money back guarantee so there is no downside to checking it out. It is certainly an intensive learning experience with no wasted words, and undoubtedly you will want to go back and watch sections again but with over 2000 having taken the course, there has been universal approval of the delivery of the content in terms of its clarity and structure so I don't think you'll have an issue there. Let us know if you have any other questions!

@@DroneFilmGuide Thank you for your quick reply. As long as Amazon makes it today I will have my Mini 2. I will learn to fly it with a little proficiency, a couple of days , shortly after that School Time. Oh then I have to learn about the business side. I hope to one day visit Scotland. We lice in the State of Washington. Can’t wait to fly. I was learning to fly Helicopters recently, but I ruptured my ear drum on a dive while in Hawaii. Dump thing to do since I’ve been diving since 1982. Looking forward to your class. Michael Pollina, USN

Hi guys! Thanks for the great videos. I'll probably buy your masterclass 2.0 soon as I am starting my own drone video production business in the Netherlands. Question: is a Mini 2 good enough for weddings? And if not, do you recommend a Mavic 3 or some other drone more?
@DroneFilmGuide2 жыл бұрын
Hey! Certainly, the Mini 2 is good enough in terms of picture quality. Very nice 4K with full manual control. If you can afford it then the Air 2S gives lots of benefits but you really don't need to go up to the Mavic 3. You'll have a lot of gear to carry for weddings so the smaller size of the Air 2S is beneficial.
@Vince012 жыл бұрын
@@DroneFilmGuide thanks for that in depth reply! Is there a reason to choose the Mavic 2 Pro over the Air 2S if you know?

Ok, so with shooting, are you guys just following the photographer, or as the drone operators are you “directing” the shots? “Stand here, walk there, kiss her now, ok climb up there (lol)etc?
@DroneFilmGuide5 жыл бұрын
These shots are done without the photographer (or with them fidgeting at your side harassing you to hurry up only to be told to effin' beat it as is more often the case). The standard direction would be walk up there, stand and hug or have a chat when you get there then wait for our direction to walk back. This gives you 3 minutes to get your shots, hence the need to have a plan. It's not easy!
@omnihassan2465 жыл бұрын

Hi Stewart and Alina, Firstly, may I thank you for all the wonderful videos you produce and for being kind enough to share your knowledge and experience. I always set the toggle to Unlisted when I start the upload to KZbin because I regularly find that there is several hours delay before all resolutions up to 4K become available. I use the time to change the end screens and make sure that I am happy with the KZbin versions before I change to Public and publish.
