I do actually. Started doing it so that my solo active track shots stood more chance of success when I hid the controller in a backpack. Nudging the stick would ruin the move.

Some really good shot ideas, thank you and for the clear albeit fast paced instructions. What was the end result, how would you put all those shots together??
@DroneFilmGuide10 күн бұрын
Great question. This is really a library of shots so there's no attempt to tell a story as such. Always a good idea to try and create some kind of intrigue by opening with an establishing shot, then maybe a close up of walking feet, then introduce a person and keep going by trying to build some kind of flow. Even it's just a personal project or a travel film, you can still create a 'story' by not just showing everything in the first shot.
@APD50079 күн бұрын

Love your channel. I'm a noob Neo pilot, and this video in particular has been brilliant. I have a ton of questions, but here's two- what lights (like you use towards the end of the vid) would you recommend for the neo, and what's your opinion in the third party accessories, like tailfins, landing gear etc? Would love to see a vid on simple nodding for the neo...
@DroneFilmGuide29 күн бұрын
Hey! I didn't understand the question about lights. If it's the shot of me talking towards the end then it does look like I have an artificial light on me but it's actually just natural light. Regarding accessories, we've never actually used any to be honest but that's not to say they couldn't be useful - it's just never come up.

Brilliant filming, excellent lessons. Think my wee mini 2 would manage some of those shots so long as it’s not blowing a hooley here in Manchester. Noted that all shots are able to be done on most drones with controllers AND you not using joysticks. Do you find it easier without? Keep doing what you both do… fab..

You don't use sticks on the controller? 😮 And the antennas are always tilted 90 degrees... Can you explain why? 🤔
@DroneFilmGuide2 ай бұрын
For the sticks, started doing it so that my solo active track shots stood more chance of success when I hid the controller in a backpack. Nudging the stick would ruin the move. Now I'm just used to flying like that and TBH I think I do get more control. For the antenna, the flat part is meant to be pointed at the drone for optimal signal strength. With O4 transmission on the likes of an Air 3, it's not something you need to give too much thought to though.
