Completely in awe of these, just fell down the rabbit hole on your channel. I've flown 172's with some instruction while starting my license process, but then life, kids, work happened! I noticed it says "experimental" ... What does that mean for license and what type of license do you need for these? Awesome work on the channel, keep it up

For gyroplanes, all that is needed in the US is a light sport pilot license. The minimum requirements for certification is 20 total hours before your check ride. That's usually about 15 hours dual instruction with at least 5 hours of solo flight.

Another very professional video. Save your nickels, go to this place and take a introduction flight. As a long time aviation enthusiast and pilot I was impressed. New top of the line equipment and top of the line attitude. If you are already a private pilot this rating will only be a add on. You can rent aircraft (GYROs) that are new and very well equipped, impressive I do not know how they can do this. Most fix wing schools are renting you 30 year old equipment, just the nature of aviation these days. Also; fun and down right best aviation experience you can have, next to a P-51 ride or Jet Fighter which I have not experienced.

Thank you, I’m learning a lot. I would love to know what it cost to buy and maintain a model like you fly. Ever calculated a cost per hour to operate? Fuel being insane is understood but curious what the gallons per hour in cruise would be. Thank you!

The AutoGyro Cavalon which is the primary model we fly, starts around $130,000 US. The hourly cost to fly one that you owned personally would be about $60.00 US. It also gets about 5-7 GPH.. which equals about 30 MPG.

How do you land in a x-wind?

The same as any other aircraft. Crab the gyro into the wind and right when the rear landing gear are about to touch, straighten the gyro to the runway and let it settle and hold it in alignment with the runway. Tilt the rotorhead slightly into the wind with the cyclic. There are definite crosswind limitations as with all aircraft.

LOVE WHAT YA DO! BUT???? On your turbo models you should have a C.H.T. GAUGE, AND A E.G.T. GAUGE IT WILL MAKE TURBO MANAGEMENT A LOT BETTER. THEN GUESS HOW LONG TO HAVE THE TURBO SPUN UP? SHOWS ANY PROBLEMS BEFORE THE AIRCRAFT KNOWS IT HAS A PROBLEM. ADD THE GAUGES, IT MAKES YOUR FLYING SAFTER.
