Etiquette does matter. Unfortunately, listening to you I realized I lost a lot of etiquette. Only because being in the company of woman who constantly attacked me over the years in the workplace made me very defensive. I appreciate the delightful way you deliver your messages because it reminds me of what truly is important in spite of someone else’s negativity.

I have a new (female) supervisor. She is the first female supervisor to encourage femininity! She is so refreshing to be around. I didn't think women like this still existed. She gets so much backlash from female colleagues. Many want to dress casual at work, curse and show up late. She does not tolerate that. More ladies are dressing feminine and smelling sweet at work. I love that😊.

Hello Vivian. The very first time I saw your video, I think that was "how to speak Elegantly", I was drawn to it and immediately I hit the "subscribe button". Thank you so much for this series of valuable content that you share. I hope you reply me. Like I said, from that very first time I took a decision that I will be an Elegant Lady, it takes a lot of unlearning and re-learning to get there, but I'm willing to work it out. But it looks as if my decision to become elegant made me short of friends, they treat me like I am a weirdo, try-hard or even a pretender(subtly telling me that I'm trying to mimick things not pertaining to my status). I understand that you shouldn't let people bring you down either verbally or through their body language especially when you are doing the right thing, but it's just so hard to be alone and not have someone you share things in common with. If I can get comforting words from you, I will appreciate it, thanks.❤️

Emotional processing is vital. Let's be careful not to encourage toxic positivity. If you are feeling negative feelings about someone who did something you didn't like and you want to discuss it with your husband or something then please do. Negative emotions exist. And always will. Please process those feelings.
@Whatever-t9s Жыл бұрын
Sometimes it's wise not to mention to the husband.
@jenniferlynn3537 Жыл бұрын
I agree with the necessity of emotional processing, and commend those who can do so unassisted. For those who cannot - that is when a therapist should be sought. Don’t dump on your loved ones - you’ll only end up alienating them. While some will have you believe that therapy is self indulgent or capitulating to one’s weaknesses, I maintain it is accepting personal responsibility for oneself. Think of it as self-investment, as along the lines of personal development. Unfortunately many of us were raised in less than optimal environments - and became acclimated to unhealthy beliefs, negative thought patterns, and unproductive behaviors. It can be problematic understanding which traits are self-limiting - and equally difficult identifying which people in your life don’t have your best interest at heart. If you’re truly to become self reliant, consider therapy as part of that journey.
