First, I am glad you and your family are safe. Living in FL, I know what these hurricanes can do! I would keep the mirrored tray and the sunflower picture for your room. Just an idea: I think because the nightstand came out so fabulous, I would pain the other nightstand the same! I love having two different night tables and then have matching lamps. You did a great job finding all of those items, and I cannot wait to see your next trash to treasure! Have a great day!

Loved everything you did today. I especially like the nightstand , it’s inspired me to do something with mine. Years ago when my husband and I downsized ,we thrifted two dressers, two nightstands and a headboard. I painted all of them Swiss coffee. The walls are a pretty light blue so painting the nightstands blue would look good. I like both long and short videos of yours

Do the triple drawer bedside unit to match the blue. Keep the blue lamps and mirrors. Very attractive with the bed head. Put the cute chair in the modern Monet room with a Monet inspired cushion cover. The happy yellow painting will be perfect in the modern Monet room. You find great stuff. The child’s bench would be a lovely plant riser.

For your guest bedroom, I would paint the second dresser blue, keep the blue lamps, but get one or two pretty books in the color of your choice, besides blue, to put under each lamp. That would give you a distinction between the blue lamp and the blue nightstand that you need. I love all of your videos.

Thank you for letting us know about how you weathered the storm. You definitely were surrounded by “whomping willows”! Glad you are all safe and have just clean-up rather than major damage or flooding. Since this is just the beginning of the hurricane season it may be a good idea (if you can budget it in) to have a trusted arborist remove those branches and check for any other damaged ones that may come down in the next storms and have them removed. My parents did that since we have tornadoes pass through our area and our trees have fared so much better in consequent high windstorms. It was worth the investment for peace of mind and house protection. The trick is always in the budget. Looking forward to seeing you again under sunny skies ❤

Thank you Heather. We are going to get a quote to remove 10 trees from our property in hopes that it will prevent anything happening in future storms that might be worse. I saw a mirror technique for antique mirrors that had the reflective coating peeling or qorn off. You sand off some of the back coating in random wear patches, then decoupage your old paper or tissue paper to the back. That way it peeks through the mirror. It's Very Cool looking. That mirror tray would be perfect to try that technique on!! It hides the glass imperfections. And it's easier to dust/ clean than regular decoupage.
