@klontjespap 9 күн бұрын
i'm like the robot until i really get into a solo or mess up big time and on high alert i also have been a nail biter all my life so no nails either, but i'm not stricly a classical guitarist either, i 'm a rock/metal guitarist that dabbles in fingerstyle :D i mostly play with 3 fingers on the strumming hand because i like having access to my palm mutes too much and in a diagonal hand position like that, it's kind of hard to introduce the ring finger without the fingers getting in the way of each other, so i just three finger most things and even thumb hop to the G string if i need to to get that country/blues honky tonk kind of sound, most classical teachers would probably crucify me for thumb hopping as much as i do lol
@guitarcody9
@guitarcody9 3 күн бұрын
You can get a lot done with p, i, and m. I don't think they would mind too much with the thumb unless the tone was really different in context with a melody line using i and m.
