1) I remember February, 2020 when I arrived in London for the first time in my life. I was wolfing a sandwich down somewhere near Victoria station and I had a strange feeling: I wanted to burst into tears and grin from ear to ear at the same time. Sort of mixed feelings. London! It had been my dream! Now you are here! And then: so what? I managed to hold me tears back though. 2) I'm complete rubbish at consoling people but at least I try to hug this person and ask what happened. 3) It seems to me that it's more about upbringing, not only culture but as far as I can see, we don't usually cry. We have a proverb here: men don't cry. Full stop.

My answers(Ukraine,Tania). 1. The last time I cried was sobbing, because the war started in my country, cruel and dishonest. 2.When friend of mine suffers,or sobs,or bawls,my aim and my inner desire is to support, hug, console, ensure her that we are together braver and stronger to get through any situation no matter hard or easy it is. 3.Crying is natural both for men and women. My culture is similar to many others' that says:better free yourself from stress and do not hold the tears, than one day it will struck you and break you down. Love your videos,it makes me more confident.Because I often translate to the British or American, and I really need modern phrases to sound more natural to you.

The way I see it when you cry due to all the emotions bringing you down it’s acceptable. One could become a hard senseless piece of meat but we don’t want that, do we? Whenever though someone claims he’s a man and cries because of pain… Well you know the answer. It is different story altogether when a woman cries. It makes me feel compassion and looking for way to help. Hi Aly. Thanks for the lesson.Well. when someone cries for a loved one', we say '' metin ol( be strong) in Turkish. As for the questions; 1- Three days ago, my aunt sent me old photos from my childhood on my birthdays. I was looking at them and suddenly, I teared up and then I started sobbing. It's because I remembered the good old days when my grandma didn't get Alzheimer :( 2- Of course, it depends on the situation, but for example, my friend has broken up with his girlfriend and he's bowling. in that case, I'd say '' Don't do this to yourself. İt's not the end of the world. So, she doesn't love you enough and doesn't deserve you. Maybe it had to finish anyway. '' and then I'd buy him one of his favourite foods. After that, we'd go out to change the air. 3- İt depends on the people. some say it is one of the things that make us human. İt's so natural. The others say it's a weakness.

In Russian we have the saying "Keep your nose up" or "Get your nose higher". In Russia it feels a little awkward when an adult is crying in public. It seems more appropriate for women and children but when a male is crying most people don't approve it considering this person kind of a "wimp" or something like that. As you probably may guess gender stereotypes are pretty valid in Russia.

When I see that my friend whimpering because of his girlfriend left him for no reason, I would definitely say: Don't be a childish. You are little frame of reference. Crying is not for man. The reason for that every single man in the world that likes weeping like a child could probably seen as a woman. In my country, sobbing is not for us.
