Today has been amazing for my shiny luck. Showing my little brother the shiny hunting rock in area 0 and found him a full odds shiny Gilble. And while watching this I found a shiny Roaring Moon. Love seeing the shinies and catching my own ^-^

Yeah. It was really cool idea, having a “rarer” type of shiny that didn’t completely change its colors. Sadly they messed it up in SWSH by making the wild Pokémon nearly guaranteed to have them. And instead of simply fixing them, they just scrapped them entirely 😕

How much is a Gameboy Advance SP and the Pokemon games for you guys in USA? I never had one and here in Brazil is too expensive.

Idk how much they go for nowadays, but the most recent price I bought a gba so for was like $90 USD and the most recent game I bought was a Spanish copy of emerald which was also around $90. Before that though my copies of fire red and leaf green were bought before the crazy price increase and I only spent about $30-$40 for each of them. But Japanese copies are the way to go for better price! I recently bought a Japanese copy of Ruby for $18!

A LOT of the ones at the end weren’t full odds lol. I would always include all shinies I got during the year but with scarlet and violet making shinies too easy to find, I decided to go all in with full odds hunting. My future yearly recaps will only include full odds shinies!

Um...not to burst your bubble, but... You don't have to hatch/catch that many Milcery. Shiny Alcremie only looks different because of the type of candies you use. I've tried this method by spinning multiple ways.

I hate to burst your bubble but I’ve looked into it and explain everything in my series I’m making. Even though on the surface the shiny Alcremie don’t look any different, they actually do save the type of swirl you turn them into. The box sprites in SWSH show what color swirl they are and even in Pokémon home and the SWSH Pokédexes, they say what shiny forms you have based on both the sweets and the swirl

Full odds is perfectly doable in scarlet and violet with how high the encounter rate is! Give it a shot! You don’t have to stick with it!

@@deadmanfan1000 honestly you don’t even need to chain pokeradar. I did a hunt at a 0 chain and it only took me like 30 minutes to get a shiny patch!

@@ThedomiNATION Well, I did do the level 2 Sandwich with no shiny boost for more dragon type spawns, and I got a shiny Gible, however I already had the shiny charm. I did get a handful of full odds shinies on my quest through the game though, psyduck, makuhita, rolycoly, and Hoppip, to name a few. This happened when I was fooling around with the mass outbreaks but the only ones I got from actual mass outbreaks at the time, were Swablu, Dreadnaw, and one or two others. I also got shiny Lechonk on the first route. I also ran into shiny Orthworm in the desert. So I guess I got at least a half a dozen full odds shinies in Scarlet. I also found 1 or two other shinies in early game. Found a shiny Fletchling but it flew away, never to be seen again. 😢

See this just confuses me, why tf would you purposely go 1/8192 if you have the option to improve the odds

Because imo the point of the shiny is that it’s rare. You take away the rarity of a shiny and it becomes no different than say East Sea or west sea shellos. Hunting at the full odds rate is a lot more exciting to me when I find a shiny. Not only do I always have something to hunt, but I don’t get burnt out from farming meaningless easy shinies in a day. But again this is just my opinion I have nothing against anyone else who wants to use the max odds!
