Yes l feel your pain . I did this with my daughter once before a wedding in the family , thirty years after we still share a garden and laugh , and we have the same table and bench , and we both sub , and watch you and talk and laugh with you. And she is actualy my daughter in law . We are on 6 acres and we both have an amazing garden . I loved everything about this! I used to do my best gardening in the rain; a little rinse off as I was getting muddy. I still time my weeding for after a good soaking storm. It helps me pull the roots out of the ground easier. I’ve planted many a “dirt plugs” as they were cheeper than the bigger plants. It’ll all look beautiful in the end 🥰

OMG, what a monumental effort! As a gardener I can see Davey's vision. It's going to be beautiful. I think I identified some of those ground cover plants, I believe I saw either tiarella or heuchera. They are beautiful whether blooming or not and they only get prettier and fuller with time. Mass plantings have so much impact, especially such a large garden. Kudos to Dan, Davey and all the Lalanders on a wonderful accomplishment! Lotsa love from Texas!

Many moons ago, when I was young, my husband and I designed a garden from scratch and we had hundreds of shrubs and plants delivered to our mere ⅓ of an acre ex-orchard plot, all on the same day. It took the two of us simply ages to finish the planting, much of it in the pouring rain. Planniong and planting such a garden is such a lovely selfless thing to do. When I did my garden some years ago it had become mature the day I sold it. I had planted 120 trees and 55 roses, lots of azaleas and rhodos and hostas.

I loved the 300 episodes vlog, and this one is one of my favorites, too. I do worry about wildlife eating the plants. I am a floral gardener, and deer, groundhogs and chipmunks are the bane of my existence. Do you have deer there? I'm worried about the rhododendrons. Mine are fenced, and it's not pretty. The deer are destroying my evergreens, eat all my tulips, and won't let me have hostas anymore. May your lovely space be left in peace!
