Stephanie, Amaury and Amaury's younger brother grew up at one of the family nursing homes. Stephanie's parents & family renovated two victorian homes, one after another, not at the same time. Stephanie said Amaury is like another brother like Gerry. The two families supported each other's careers and enjoyed raising the kids together. Stephanie and her aunt learned textile restoration together for furniture and curtains for example.

Amaury has done such an amazing job in the Grande salon. LaLande is in good hands with him. He and Dan crack me up with their Movember shave. Dan’s homeless story was epic and hysterical. I agree it was very kind for that woman to offer assistance but he does have a point about not assuming. Good luck with the architect and hopefully something can be worked out. Have you thought about donating to a new charity for Cadeu at the Chateau? Legacy of the Legends. It's for the Moon family who rescue retired horses who are being sold to the meat markets. They home, feed, take care of their medical needs. Sadie Penthrick, Michaels sister has taken one of their rescues...Udea and is keeping her at their chateau. Please consider, I know you normally dedicate the Dec, Jan, Feb monies to the design school in Africa. So possibly for March?

Your fondue took me back many years to when that was the thing to do at dinner parties. I love the idea of the forfeit. What a happy crowd! Your mummy is such a character and adorable too, Antoine such a sweet youngster and everyone else working so hard reaping great yeilds/results for everyone to enjoy! You clearly come from a family full of big personalities with sunny dispositions, so it's no surprize you are who you are Stephanie, and bring out the same in all your household, friends and family. It's lovely to see all the creativity and talent blooming, and I think alot of it's down to the freedom of being who you are, in a positive environment with common goals. It reminds me of my young years mid 80s living in a fin du siecle villa/mansion abandoned in for decades we fixed up best we could, just a group of artistic friends. We had a professional recording studio, garage, 4 stories, copper roof and a turret with a balcony, art studio, everyone had their own room (couples had a suite) and we never locked our door. Between 6-8 youngsters, mostly in music and theatre and art, it was a great time. We were all very young figuring out who we were, but I recognize the atmosphere that encourages, creativity and togetherness without being intrusive on freedom and individuality (or expenctant of bougie conformity which we all needed to break free from). When you're very young these things are temporary projects. It's nice to see adults being able to live in such circumstances and what can really come from it; the Chateau is transforming fantastically and you all seem to be thriving living your best lives! ❤️😊👌

Gerry finally said once he is looking forward to his new apartment and possibly retirement. His apartment will go above Natti's/Amaury's. Windows first needed upgrades in the workyard area and out back across from the chapel area. Then they can finish the new apartments.

Removing the back wall's cement render is going to be quite the project. It will be fascinating seeing what lies beneath. Love this time of year at Lalande where everyone gets to take a break and well-deserved rest as a gentler pace settles in. Not that it will last long with the second English Garden going in and Advent fast approaching, so rest while you can. The garden is so lush, in spite of the peacocks. It was lovely seeing the fondue races around the courtyard, people able to stretch out and play. A wonderful video, Steph. Thank you so much.
