Dave, was doing some searching and ran across this. I did testing on the 120 grain using H4350 today. Right under 2900 FPS shooting about a 3/4 MOA group with an SD of 4.2. Load was at the max of 44.9. My deer load this year. Rifle is a Bergara B-14 Crest. Thanks for the content.

Great shooting Dave. I think the 760 is your best groups . good luck hunting. I have a milestone today it's fifty years of Hunting for me . I got one Pheasant and missed one today. Looks like a Pot Pie is in my future.

What primer with 760? In smaller rounds, 760 sometimes likes a light Magnum primer, such as the Remington 9 1/2 M. But a hotter standard LR primer can do about as well. 'Course, these days we use what we have. Thanks Dave!

I use WLR primers. Careful attention needs to be taken with W-760 powder and 129 grain pills. Hornady manual has a max load of 46 grains, while Speer and Hodgdon has a maximum of only 40 grains.

@@luvtahandload7692 I called Hornady and they confirmed the load data range (start to max), in their book from their tests. If it weren't for a Chronograph, 2 blown primers out of 5 shots and subsequent bulged cases and loose primer pocket inspection @ only 43 grains, I could have been in a pickle for sure. Oh well that is why we start low and work up cautiously.

Do you need to rezero for hunting with that type of chronograph. Thanks, used to like 760 but haven’t seen it for quite awhile

My experience with the Magnetto speed on and off, is very little change in point of impact. However, yes I do retest zero to verify.
