when you see every crew cringing when he was screaming as he cuts his hand shows how remarkable of an actor he is

So much respect for the real Aron... who smiled ecstatically after realising he could break his bones to free himself... who calmly took a photo of the gory mess after he was done... who came on set to a replica of the canyon he wanted so badly to escape and relive those moments with a team asking detailed questions about his experience...😱

The nerve cutting scene in the movie was a masterpiece of editing - not so much for the visuals but for the accompanying music score and foley edits - I felt whenever the nerve was touched because of that and it was the part of the movie that most made me wince….

21:03 guy tries to hand James Franco a prop and he just sits there, doesnt move, and stares at him...finally someone else put it in francos pocket for him..wow. A bit rude eh?
@sdti74053 жыл бұрын
Well he was holding a drink in one hand & the script in the other with no real place to set either down besides on the floor. He’s on an elevated place (unless he’s really tall) which means that he’d have to get down off it to get to the floor. This may cause him to spill his drink on himself or the script. Ruining the script. It’s probably coffee judging by the cup, and so it would probably stain his clothes, needing a new wardrobe and time for James to take a shower, causing delays for the film and for him. It was just easier for someone to put it in his pocket. But I do get how that can seem rude at first glance
@ThisHandleFeatureIsStupid2 жыл бұрын
@@sdti7405 You're missing the point of the comment. The point is that verbal communication did not occur. If the guy handing him the thing was a known nuisance with a long history of handing things to people who are incapable of receiving them...OK, fine, the stare is warranted. Otherwise, original comment is valid.

Did you actually listen to the video? The director intentionally made it so James was going through as much similarity as possible to what Aron went through. They clearly say how James was basically kept away from any social interaction, as much as possible to simulate the feeling of isolation and madness. He also says himself how he wants to pass out from the gore at a point. The mental strain he goes through while filming this, all within the space of a whole week is more than understandable. Honestly, dummies on the internet seem to forget that these are human beings as well, who also have good and bad days. Have you never had certain weeks or months, when you have been completely over worked into exhaustion, to the point where you dont really respond properly to social cues either? its not out of being rude, just being overtired, and not being aware of what day of the week it is! lol
