My friend. You work so hard. When I was 19 I built my parents a 4000sqft home by myself. Had help rolling the trusses and electric plumbing and heating. did the rest by myself. Now I'm 55 and build a shed a week. My back went out 4 years ago, From working in the cold installing felt on a roof by myself. Funny it wasn't heavy lifting just a 10hr day. Please take care of your body. now I crawl out of bed and have a hard time walking. You better be making 1k a day my friend.

I could feel my back snap with every wall you lifted! That'll make you an old man fast. Beautiful building though.

I’m a semi retired 72 year old builder- carpenter. I prided myself on the one-person stuff. You got me beat……but those two large walls with the siding already on, you really shouldn’t be lifting yourself, too much can go wrong (I know!)……something slips, your back gets shot, etc. maybe next time you have a ‘far away’ install you can make a deal with the homeowner for an extra pair of hands for a couple of hours during the steps which call for 2 workers. BTW, you’re good, kid……you’re really good, fine product work, efficient. Just trying to help with your longevity.

I really appreciate the kind words and yes i agree with you about the heavy lifting I have wall jacks just don't like using them ... I'm going to try to be better about using them thank you so much for the comment and for watching God bless

@@triplerconstruction7858 I'm watching this while my broken ribs heal. I was repairing my boat dock by myself and slipped while "tight roping" my way to the end to get the last piece of deck. Slipped and fell on the frame, could be worse, could have ended me all together if I got knocked out or broke my back I would have drowned in 3 feet of water. I'm a hvac-r service tech of 20 years and quite fit, I deal with two man problems by myself all the time, but this has changed my approach for sure. Slow down, be safe.

Fantastic job! That's a lot for one person to do. How large should my concrete pad be for a 12X20 shed?
@AdelineCowgirl Жыл бұрын
When I had my shed built, they said I had to have 3ft of concrete on all sides beyond the shed. But for this one it looks like the concrete pad is the same size as the shed, so I guess it depends on who builds the shed.

Wow, awesome work! looking at getting one of these for the spring near Idaho City. Cool to think you might be one of the builders!- what size wood are the skids? they look way bigger than 4 x 4's that i thought they came with.
@triplerconstruction78582 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much unfortunately it will probably be the other builder that does the builds over there I do eastern id and Utah. And they are 4x6 skids thanks for watching I wish I could build yours

@@triplerconstruction7858 no worries. i'm sure the other builders do great work also. mine would actually be delivered whole to the site anyway. looking at the 12 x 20 playhouse model lofted barn. are there specific upgrades you think we should get- will be in the mountains with plenty of snow. wasn't sure how important the 2x6 floor joists or 3/4" flooring would be, extra skid,etc. we will be ordering the snow load package. looking to use it as a cabin on weekends. thanks!

Hey, that wheel thing seems like. Big help. Mr. Clark is right, though. l ruptured and herniated two discs in the 1990s. Nothing is ever the same! Is that width 12? I counted 12 panels. Is each on 12 inches? Looks like a great space. I wanted to do 12x16 as a plumbed cottage with two stories barn gambrel and dormer...

Why build a wooden floor on top of a slab of concrete? Just curious
@triplerconstruction78582 жыл бұрын
It's customers choice and it's not ideal to put a a building on a pad that's way bigger because it's not good for the siding to sit on the concrete and there is more chance of water getting under them by a seam or crack eat. Thanks for asking
@Motoguy942 жыл бұрын
Why spend the extra cost for the wood on the floor, you already had a great cement slab?

Could an Old Hickory building be put on a concrete slab without the wood floor?
@triplerconstruction78582 жыл бұрын
Yes we do that occasionally
@Mike-lf7px Жыл бұрын
Slab will always be the best way to go, even if you want it off the ground higher start with a slab first if you can afford it. Next step down would be a gravel pad. I try not to ever take short cuts on the foundation, especially if your looking for longevity. I helped pour my neighbors slab and it came out great and alot cheaper(roughly $300 bucks for 10x10ft.) Compared to $1000 plus quote. Best of luck to you.
