I have measured, that an average of 7 pounds of peels (orange, banana, apple) are disposed by me into the wastebin avery week. This makes it real to fill your own garden with high quality soil just after a year of raw-veganism :). I believe it would be a perfect business idea to incorporate the knowledge gained from this video to use this neverending material (thrown away by farmers/grocery owners) and make a living of it. Thumbs up!

I have a place where I throw all my table fruit, vegetable, and garden scraps. And I have a few chickens. They make for splendid compost and fertilizer. I don't do anything, the chickens do the work of stirring and implementing. And they are such happy pets.
@lemurianchick12 жыл бұрын
Thank you for that! You are so right because I went ahead and just used the compost and when I watered the containers, it was really weird how the water just sank thru the dirt versus having things that catch the water.

Where does all this organic raw scraps come from? A store? People combining their scraps? I'm amazed by the tons of this - wow. We do good to just find organic veggies and fruits in our area! Love your videos Kristina! So fun.

Question-- Would someone without a gallbladder benefit from a raw vegan diet? I've read things online that raw food may be too hard to digest or something. I've been without a gallbladder for about 2 years now, and my digestion is not where I feel it should be. Would love to hear what you have to say about it! LOVE your videos and energy!

I use egg shells in my garden for pest control. I break the shells up in tiny bits , dry them out and lay them on the surface of the soil around my plants. It's supposed to keep the slugs and worm like insect from eating your veggies/fruits.

In my opinion, the composition of compost vs potting soil is much different. Potting soil has been designed to grow in pots, so it contains ingredients such as coconut coir, peat moss and vermiculite that better hold water and does not allow it to drain out as quickly as compost alone. Most potting soils do contain some level of compost, but it should not be all compost from my research and experience. Agreed! Especially in high volume places. I worked at a stadium that sold disgusting greasy, and unhealthy foods at high prices. The most disgusting part was how unsanitary it was. A cook dropped hot dogs on the ground and picked them up and placed them to be served, some people didn't wash their hands, there was roaches crawling in the ice and ice machines used for soft drinks, there were roaches crawling on the walls and counters, some employees ate out of the ice machines, there were
