I pulled 36 books off my shelves that I had either been looking forward to reading or had already read and loved, and Night Film was one of the latter group. Is it weird that Night Film brings me joy? I'm not even a superfan of horror, in fact I thought that I didn't like horror at all, but Night Film made me change my mind. After that, I read everything Marisha Pessl has ever written. She's SO underrated, and I was THRILLED to find a secondhand hardcover copy of Night Film for $3!

hi Jordaline, night film seems interesting, thanks for the rec! could you make a dedicated video listing your fave mixed media books? i'm a huge proponent of more pictures in adult books! love from boston!

Also, Jurassic Park is my favourite film ever (only recently read the book which I also loved). And even better, the film was released the same year I was born

I think recommending books years down the line is not only valid but also better in this case. If you’re still thinking about the book 8+ years down the line then there must be a reason it stuck with you.
