On our first ride through Rise of the Resistance, we got the best cast member ever who guarded us before we were sent into the interrogation room. She was snide, sneered at us constantly, and insulted us when we accidentally stepped on the wrong color. LOVED IT!

Riding Rise as a single rider sometimes gets you stuck on a car as the only rider and that in itself is creepy in its own way because you feel lonesome and you're just experiencing the ride by yourself.

One of our First Order cast members saw me on my ECV and beckoned me to the front of the group. He told me that I was to lead my party and that if any of them tried to get ahead of me "You have my permission to yell at them. In perpetuity."

Great vid, and when kids are scared, the characters are amazing at noticing, but it also helps with simple hand signals or a simple head shake of no will do for them..I am so grateful they always noticed when my kids were scared...I love that they don't force the kids to be ok when they are not. Disney is the best, and so are these videos!!

My sister was an "AJ". Loud noises terrified her and prevented her from being willing to try anything new, let alone riding the rides she already knew were loud. We finally found a solution for her. We got those foam noise protection earplugs. Then, before every ride, we would put them in her ears. That way, she could feel completely safe from any loud noises that might happen. She smiled through rides, instead of looking anxious and scared.

The funniest thing about owning a fursuit is the amount of times parents have prepared their toddlers for Disney parks when they see me at an event. There was this one young family with a ~8 year old and a baby and the baby was absolutely in love with me! The parents were so relieved because they weren’t sure if the baby would be as excited to see costumed characters as their older son was for their first ever trip.

Crazy question If you have kids staying with you can you ask a cast member to have a character to visit you hotel room? If not that would be a cool idea.

There is probably a cast member/hotel staff member that moves the chairs. Of course no one will admit to it because then it will give the game away.

When I took my kids when they were 4 and almost 2 we started off our trip at Chef Mickey's... Goofy approached the table and my 2 year old let out the most blood curdling scream of terror that was so loud that the breakfast crowd went dead silent for 30 seconds. He warmed up later that day when Rabbit played peek-a-boo with him, then he was OK from like 4 feet away

So I've noticed something while at the parks and in your B roll that shows people just walking around. I ran across some videos on youtube of some 90's and early 2000's WDW walk throughs and the difference was drastic. I'm not talking about the attractions or even crowd size. Look at the people. In the older videos before you had to be on your phone most everyone has a smile on their face and looks to be having fun. In the modern B roll you hardly see any of this, even on the kids. You see stressed out parents power walking to their next LL or reservation and kids exhausted from the constant movement and not being able to take it in. This makes a lot of sense to me. The price for a trip is outrageous so parents feel the need to try to do as much as possible because they may not be back for a long time, if ever. I don't know how they fix this. I would say to maybe go back to COVID style crowd restriction (they probably couldn't financially do that) or allow people to buy and schedule LL (at the current price structure or less) at the time they book their tickets and hotel room. That way when you get to the park you at least wouldn't need to be glued to your phone the entire time to book your next LL.

I still don't understand why they couldn't have made the magic bands usable outside of Disney do you realize how much I would love to use my magic band as just 1 of those cool watches that you tap and it shows you the time? Or heck, the gps is already in there, make it a step counter???

My parents never bothered to have us meet characters and as a child I never really asked! Trust me it won’t be an everlasting memory, if you don’t want to waste your time. Kids have a really good ability to understand so when my parents let me know it’s someone in a costume, it didn’t ruin my day and it made things make sense! And I didn’t want to waste ride time anyways lol!
