People need to understand when you do commit you aren’t there to see the aftermath and you can’t help the people left behind. A lot of times that’s people only reason to keep going. So showing the person who committed still around talking to people like their not dead can be harmful.

I honestly loved how they changed Hannah's death for the show. Just imagine how much worse the criticism for the show allegedly romanticizing suicide would be if she overdosed. Someone that overdoes typically leaves a "pretty" body behind. Showing how gruesome her suicide was in the show goes to show that suicide isn't pretty.

i got my first tattoo when i was 14 as a stick and poke and my second when i was 16 as a tribute to my father who passed away. tattoos don’t always mean you come from a bad home life, but i do understand where you’re coming from with that.

My mom got me my first tattoo on my 17th birthday and she’s as straight laced as one can get. I come from a very rural area, not much going on here and people are pretty conservative, there was a girl in my school who had a tattoo on her ankle when she was 13, her mom let her get it. But also, just because state law says you must be a certain age or have parental consent doesn’t mean everyone abides lol my brother was getting tattoos behind my parents back from a licensed tattoo artist since he was 15. And then there’s different methods of tattooing, they definitely aren’t always done legally. It’s not hard to make/get a tattoo gun. I don’t even know why this video included that portion, pretty sure those tattoos were strictly the character’s tattoos and not the actor’s. The show included them because it’s reality, teens have tattoos and it often has nothing to do with their home life.

I saw a video of a mother and her daughter was suffering from suicide thoughts and depression. The daughter wasn’t allowed to look at 13 reason why bc her mom knew about what happened in the serie, but her daughter did it anyways. She watched the suicide scene and decided to kill herself the same way as Hannah. That’s why they removed it cuz that’s what I heard. The mother was the one who said everything about that so it is true.

A lot of my highschool classmates had tattoos and my state requires an adult signature for anyone under 18 for body modifications. Those with tattoos on the show, didn't even phase me. Some are pretty neat.

I must say, the suicide scene was gruesome, but it gets the message across that all the things you have said and done can effect people significantly, sometimes costing their lives. I think it didn’t glamorise suicide, but just showed reality. People affected by suicidal thoughts should be spoken to, taken cared of and gotten help in the viewing of that scene. Done now, opinion stated✌🏻

the controversial scene should have stayed. they should've given 2 choices, the graphic one and the non graphic one. ive been suicidal many times...... that scene gave me one less method to use because it was painful, real, emotional, almost gruesome. it deterred me from doing something like that. there is a content warning and hotlines provided in every episode, everyone knows what the show is about and what episode will have a graphic scene. my whole thing is people can watch Saw, Texas chainsaw massacre, law and order and criminal minds where you see horrifically mutilated bodies and be fine with it and that'd on regular tv. its hypocritical to censor this show but show off grisly scenes in other things. its hypocritical to be fine watching a gruesome murder but complain about a Netflix show youre choosing to watch

I meeeean i got a tattoo at 15 and im 24 now and i went to school with that tattoo and so did many others and where I live you can only get tattoo's when you're 18, I got it done by a relative but still there were so many people at school with tattoos all over

The outsiders cast in 1983 was portrayed by guys who were in their early to late 20’s accept Patrick Swayze and it blew my mind when I found out. So seeing the ages of the 13RW cast doesn’t really surprise me all that much. Accept for the guys who played Zachary and Monty.. WOW!
