I’ve spent 7 years loving an Indian man in NZ only for him to go home and get married. If i knew that was the outcome i would have stayed clear and saved myself from wasted heart ache

But his lack of commitment to you would have shown. Maybe you ignored the red flags. But it is unethical of him to behave that way towards you. Hope you have moved on. No point thinking about a spineless man. Waste of time and effort.

I met an Indian guy months ago and he is very sweet, smart, handsome, educated... He is almost perfect. Also he looks his self perfect too. One thing I notice he don't like talking about his mom and marriage. Then, its start for me to doubt and did more research about Indian culture and behaviour. Lots of comments are all same. After that I learned to pull back by talking to him and it saves my time.

I use be married to Indian man , he blamed my mother for our marriage not working, but all she did was remind me I am Australian and I should be treated with respect and not a door mat . My ex husband use to order me around like a slave, do this do that. When I showed self respect for myself he left me for another woman. So didn't really love me anyways and treats the Indian woman he got the same he just think woman only good for cooking and cleaning 🧹🧼

Most of Indian men are brought up like that .Two of my cousins married to American and one is married to Iris. First my family was against this 3 marriages but they turned out to be better than Indian husbands of my other cousins who think woman only good for cooking and cleaning .2 of my cousin is working their husbands share house chores. The cousin who is married to Iris is not working I am surprised when i saw him helping my cousin sister after coming back from work .Every night they do dishes together. The points you made are kinda valid but I believe many of these points really represent the men from poorer backgrounds who got rich and are orthodoxic . I'm an Indian guy but I never understood most of these points not because I'm close minded or something, but have never experience any , such as being unhygienic , passing derogatory comments towards women in public or with friends , having dual personalities, treating women as maids , not doing anything by myself and all the points you made. Maybe it was my parents who always taught me good values and skills or having a friend group not like the one you mentioned or just that both my parents are educated . Like I still remember my father teaching me colorology to dress and smell well or my mom teaching me to be clean and cook and similar things which help me not become the men u mentioned . I truely believe it really depends on how you were raised and the people you befriend like heck , as because me and my friends were raised in such households that whenever we see comics and youtuber telling these stuff (which are true) always made us wondered "is this how indian men really are?!" It further reduced my belief of "Proud to be INDIANS" as I discovered more of the things Indians do. Which is why I wish I was a guy of different country as it pains me to be associated with people exhibiting such shitty characteristics. Nice video btw made me a bit more aware on what not to become.

I have been married for 6 years to an Indian man, possibly because he was born in Canada a few of the points do not apply to him, however many do. The main struggle I have had is the marrying his family part; I was not aware of this and he was not forthright about how codependent he lives with his parents. This one point alone has been incredibly challenging for me as I came from a very different upbringing and find this fact to cause daily discomfort for me. His parents are nice people but its like they are the main focus of everything, they are basically sewn to him and expect the same from me. His sisters do not have the same burden of this crushing weight, but we (as a couple) do and as the years pass it only seems to get worse. That being said I love my husband dearly and he is so fantastic in many ways, its hard to admit that some of these points are true but I am grateful for the truth as I thought I was going crazy in this marriage due to this extreme relationship he has with his parents and family. I know I am not of this culture but I have been exposed to it and truly appreciate someone speaking the hard truth as I feel this is so rare. But without awareness, there is no potential to learn and grow, I hope your message is heard.

Do not feel you’re alone as many Indian women living in India or abroad goes through this suffering or confusion. Women tend to believe, lack of sincerity on their part but by time they realised the truth of family/parents sewn with their husband. It’s all about the way society and family raised a man to serve his parents and family only. Where a woman who married to him, becomes and remained his second priority. Few men can come out from this mentality or evolved out of it.

Off course i married a wonderful highly educated Telegu girl whom my mum and entire family simply adored - we are now divorced, simply because I was the problem reaffirming the Telegu community’s belief that “ one should never marry a non Telegu” So…..,I was in some ways an example of whom Loy is correctly referring to.

In my country there is a saying in Spanish; “El Casado, Casa Quiere.” Which basically means that once you get married you have to leave your childhood home, and you have to live alone with your partner (or you get judged by the community), and you are expected (if you are a man) to provide only for your partner and not your family members.

The culture difference is that is common for Brazilians once they get married to either move very closely to their parents/in-laws or build their home in the property of their parents/in-laws. I'm talking about people in their 40s with good jobs asking their mommys and daddys to live in their home with their spouse. So, I'm glad you guys are much more independent.

Married to an Indian. Fortunately he is not that stingy. He can be sometimes but not that bad. Also took a bit of training….he used to get upset at my grocery bill and it drove me nuts bcs stuff is expensive, but he is better about that now. Now, my biggest issues - ) In-laws….he is an only son so where do his parents live? With us. This is my biggest issue by far bcs I hate living with my parent-in-laws. My husband only can say to me ‘What can I do? Let them live on the streets?’ But this damages my mental well being bcs I now resent my in-laws for this and I resent my husband for this and more so, I have to live like this until someone dies. My husband use to tell me to have patience. This is what patience got me….nothing but depression. I hate my home. I hate cooking in my home and I hate cleaning my home. I hate waking up in my home. So, yes…by far my biggest issue bcs it directly correlates to my happiness. - ) another issue….they are extra close to their family. In some ways this is good but it gets irritating at times. How long they talk on the phone and frequent phone calls at that. It can annoying sometimes. Sometimes he talks to one of his siblings multiple times a day every single day and that sibling happens to live a 2 minute walk away, so it is as if they never talk and never see each other - ) they have trouble saying ‘no’ to their family - ) extra sensitive in regards to their family….if you hurt them intentionally or not, big problem. If they do it to you, there is some excuse given to justify it -) men don’t cook….this one drives me insane. My husband will not cook but will complain about food and won’t even get himself ice cream…he asks me to get it. If I am sick, it makes no difference. I either have to cook or explicitly ask him to buy outside food. He NEVER makes me food. 1 hour after finding out my brother died, “Can you make me something for breakfast?’ Meanwhile, all the other husbands out there were making their wife breakfast. (This happened about a decade ago but it bothered me a lot so I never forget it….sorry to say). And it bothered me when he tries to teach our kids that cooking is a woman’s job (though felt nice when our son then asked why there were mostly men cooking in the restaurant we ate at). My husband use to cook once in a blue moon when first married, but then the in-laws moved in and shoved him out of the kitchen so that is also another reason why I hate living with in-laws. I would ask them also not to serve him food but they would serve him food so…..no helpful husband in the kitchen. Even if he wants his water bottle filled, he asks the kids to do it even if it is midnight on a school night. - ) lastly…..there is no loving nature of them. They drink at showing love, no attention (unless to complain or ask for something), and no affection. Coincidentally women usually need all those things so now you have a very unhappy unsatisfied wife. Husband wants a submissive wife but he gives nothing in return. Pay the bills and job is done for the day. Diaper changes? Late night feedings? Always the mom. - ) they care too much what others think of them. I never went to India but in beginning of marriage we had plans to (then he lost his job so for financial reasons it never happened), but he asked me to lie to people if they asked what my parents did for a living. I should also lie about my siblings or keep quiet about them bcs 2 of my brothers had children out of wedlock and one of my brothers lives with a woman he had kids with but never married

Hmmm, what is the definition of foreign girls? White girls? Rich girls? Highly educated girls from first world? East Asian girls? If so, they should not marry an average Indian! I agree with Loy! They really can't adjust. But yes, it's also true I have 4 aunts who got married Indian men and still, at least according to them and their relatives, they are happily married. They themselves were poor, they got married in a poor family. Their husbands were too busy earning money! They really didn't have time to practice those absurd rituals and orthodox thought. But thanks to Loy, being a young girl, I am afraid to marry now!

To be honest, most of this isn't restricted to Indian men. Sooo many men in America are this way. I think it's a matter of being traditional vs progressive. Also how secure they are, as you said. I think someone who truly understands Hinduism would be humble, and I think the guy I'm dating gets that. But it's true, you don't know how someone is when they're not around you.

They’re hideous very suspicious they living a double life. both are LDR relationships. 1st guy from a well off family and the second guy from middle class family. Both are hideous both are egoistic and emotionally unavailable. The first guy emotionally abused me, second guy tried to scam me. I was single for 8 yrs before I dated again and I thought I have so much wisdom when it comes to dating and stuff. But I was still fooled by those guys. Thankfully never ended up marrying either of them. Side noted I didn’t dated them on the same time there’s no overlap. Here in Philippines it’s becoming a trend dating foreigners specifically Indians because we are getting tired of dating men from our culture because they’re so westernized that’s why we thought it’s a good idea to date Indians because we thought they’re very conservative and respectful but yeah we’re so wrong about it

We go once or twice a month because the temple is quite far from our home. Because he works full time and I dont work outside the home, I do most of the housework, cooking and cleaning. He wants to help me but I dont want him to. We go food shopping together. Im vegetarian but I cook some meat for him. I have the most beautiful altar. The Hindu temple we go to is located in an area where there are many Indian shops and restaurants. He has bought me all my favorite dieties-- Ganesa, Radha, Krisna, Hanuman, Shirdi Sai Baba, Lakshmi, Shiva. While he is working, I do sadhana, mantra, meditation and we have friends in our building that I visit. We've been together 8 years and we're very happy.

I was suspicious from the start and knew that he was lying, because It doesn't make sense that we've only known each other for 2 days and he's immediately that confident 😂 . I followed his game and agreed to everything he said so he thought I was fascinated. Until finally he suddenly said he wanted to borrowed me money. I already knew he would be like this because he always talked about salary, he knew I was working. I immediately said that I couldn't help and give money, because money is sensitive. Do you know what he's going to do after this? He blocked me😂 I really laughed out loud and felt victorious. He thought I was a stupid woman who just wanted to be fooled. Thank god I'm not one of those men who mentioned in this video. 🆒 post! 👏🏼 Accurate on most counts from my experiences since 1997. Working with Indians in my software development career and traveling longterm to India as a tourist since 2017, north and south. Staying with families, homestays and Airbnb family-owned apartments mostly. Hotels too, but that’s a whole other topic. Just saying my experiences are far and wide and I agree with most of what you are saying. (I have stories! And they are all long!) 😅 I find that most Indians take a lot of showers. Other hygiene issues are there like unkempt nails, nasty feet, stained teeth and unwashed clothing. I’ve not had the terrible smells and I’ve been on many 2-3 tier second-class trains, plus loads of wild, primitive bus rides. Maybe my sinus issues are there. 😅 I’m curious why you did not mention Sikhs and Buddhists Indians? Dowry is a challenge right along with the caste system. But all else you mentioned is so so true! I wish I had seen your video before I got engaged into a Sikh family for 5 yrs, then properly frauded, money and belongings stolen by my ex-fiance’ in UP. We are currently in court. He’s been to prison. Too much to explain here. -> Another reason not to marry an Indian boy. They either want your money, s3x, your country’s passport and citizenship or to use you as a trophy. Not all of course, but a very high percentage.

All points are absolute truth about Indian man sadly. You’ve shown a big mirror to Indian men but few going to accept as they’ve very fragile ego! I think, it’s generated from many centuries of outside invasions and colonial effects! Somewhat a tribal mentality prevalent in Arabia, Afghanistan with women and in society. Man enjoys privilege and feels entitled provided to them by family and society. Overall India women suffered a lot socially in the marriage, which i’ve realised after many years now! Not to say every Indian is like this but I’ve met a few Indian men with most of these qualities. It’s very typical and deep rooted in their culture. I was friends with an Indian man and his wife. I noticed this man’s behavior issues in the beginning but decided to let it go and hoped he will improve. He got worse. Even though he’s married, he used to pay attention to me a lot which made me uncomfortable. And he started behaving in a controlling way with me even though I’m not from his family. I was their friend. It was worse that his wife supported this behavior. I felt like they did not care about my feelings and started treating me like an object instead of a friend, so I distanced myself from them. I recently went on a date with an indian man. We had a great first date. He doesn't seem to fit most of these except maybe the family part. He came to America in his early teens and went to college here. He seems very westernized so far. I will definitely take my time and not jump into anything. I am very headstrong and will not give up my career. I guess time will tell.

Firstly that is a Maori Tattoo on his face... It's another culture, it means to have Mana, it is regarded a very personal thing, so before going crazy at him for having that too, get educated, he is NOT disturbed, you are just pissed off that he is telling the TRUTH.

I do not fully agree with his the presenter. India is a country that has been colonized and looted forever. So majority of Indians are poor and coming our of poverty to middle class status. Hence one cannot expect India or Indians to transform certain habits and thinking to a so called evolved western one. We are an old civilization with the best brains and many of our traditions, eating habits, beliefs and sciences are actually now recognized and copied elsewhere. The presenter points out things like not brushing, washing, speaking loud etc. but these are habits and not mindset of a mega diverse country like India. If you really look deep, you will realize that there is no other country like India.

After marriage U have to take care about your in laws till your death your condition would become similar to indian aunties in mid 30s looking like 50s. Adding it to, u can't take care of your parents, it's against their culture. And they can't go even with 10% of your culture. Plus indian men ego is unbelievable. He won't even do little thing to help u at house chores as they feel less as man even if touched to boil milk for your kids.

Thank you so much for this video. Im with an Indian, who really is smart, but here in Germany, where we live, i have sadly noticed that he does have some of these traits, especially arrogance, ego, also emotional entitlement - everyone needs to understand their feelings, but they have no emotional intelligence, so the question of how to act as a human being is often not really thought about. I was very naive, but in German culture it's truly shoking what kind of opinions he has. His ego is not so openly visible, but he is absolutely incapable of understanding criticism. I also think its because his father beat him. The women in his family find all of this normal and rather than talk about anything or stick up for urself as a woman "dont think so much" is always their advice. What a thing to say as a woman about ur one precious life 😢!!

This moron Loy have zero knowledge of our Indian culture. You can not be just Indian because your ancestors are belong to India. Our beautiful of Indian culture is called in Tamil Orutthanukku orutthi which means one husband one wife, You can not be like prostitutes whom ever you like you can sleep with them. This is beauty of our Indian culture.
