D’accord. I think you’d do very well especially because, although your style is edgy, it’s not monolithic at all. I like clean, classic, & leaning towards preppy with a hint of edge but I still find great inspiration from your videos. I’ve said this before, but I don’t understand why you don’t have more likes/subscribers. I would be so happy to see your own line!

I feel the same way about a Chelsea boot and I'm vegan, so my options are often limited...and I don't do well with Doc Martens. So, I just got a pair of Ganni Chelsea boots...in RUBBER...and they are my everyday boots. They look edgy and RAD! And I can literally wear them in any weather. Also, they are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. I was wearing some unfortunate boots on a trip to San Francisco, and my feet were thrashed, so I donated them to a local organization there and went over to Nordstrom and found these Ganni Chelseas. Totally worth the price. They also have them leather as well and in a few shaft height options (I went with the traditional Chelsea shaft height)...seriously, I highly recommend checking them out!

Since decided not to wear white anymore (for several reasons) I have a black shirt in my must have basics and actually a chambray shirt which I mix with many bottoms, specially more "dressy" ones for contrast. After wearing flip flops as summer shoes when I was a kid, I stopped wearing them for a long time. A few years ago I went to New York and stayed in a YWCA and bought a pair of black Havaianas flip flops (same as yours) to wear in the shared showers, I had the same reaction: it does look good on the feet (makes my short, large feet somehow more elegant!!!)

My essentials are a long black cardigan: a pair of pull-on marina luxe twill pants from Universal Standards that feel like pajamas and can be worn to a fancy event, to work, or to chill. I love them so much that I purchased 5 pairs. My wutuang t-shirt is essential and gets worn a lot. along with my black blazer. Chelsea boots are the best. I too am looking for the right pair. I also have a white shirt but it is a white camisole that I wear every week. I don't know if you remember, but I had commented on loving your boyish style so much but realized it did not work on my body. I figured it out, and I am so happy. It was all about the fabric. I found that a soft blazer, soft pants, silky camis, and fitted classic hip hop tee sand tops look great on my body. I still get o to have that masculine edge I love. I love your style so much and now I have figured out how a personal style can work for me I feel more myself. I was drawn to your channel because of your hair and your boyish gitl vibes. I too have been sporting the one-sided head shaved look for 5 years. I do love gold statement earrings and huge statement watches. Thanks for all your information and inspiration. I can finally say goodbye to my girly puff sleeves dresses! Summers are hot in NYC and so hard to keep cool with my personal style. I have been loving button-down striped shirt dresses or simple v neck tee dresses with an asymmetrical hem I love this masculine touch in a feminine garment.

Love the edgy style... as a "romantic/x-shape" some of your looks (although looking AMAZING on you) look like a sack on me lol. Any tips on how to be edgy with waist definition??
@teresacarle2943 жыл бұрын
😉In the same position as you. Doing oversize is generally not a good look for those w/a proportionally smaller waist, so we must make adjustments. 👕 Recently taken to wearing BF graphic boxy t-shirt. Using a big slogan button 🔘 (or jar lid) & an elastic hair band to reduce some of the bulk. Place it to 1 side, pull over some of fabric on the short side. Repeat it on the other side. Twist the cap + add elastic band tightly below button. It will create a fabric medallion & a ruching around waist that is flattering. 😖 It's tricky when we need to size up to fit ⬅️breasts or hips➡️, we often end up with all this excess fabric around our ➡️middle⬅️ too. Need to find ways to eliminate that bulk. Also bring the eye line up to focus on our slimmest section. 🤗Find that softly body-conturing fabrics (esp. in a tank top, t-shirt, or dress) are far more flattering to our shape. They allow us to wear a edgy topper, blazer, cardigan, robe, etc. that gives a subtle 👀peek-a-boo quality to curvier proportions beneath. We can get away with a straight cut blazer or vest, but we need to off-set it with something more skimming below it. Single breasted, structured (or tailored @ waist) blazers are best. Trench or wrap coats are also more flattering for curves. Tying the sash in back can create a more pleasing "X" shape & gives a cool vibe. A sleeveless, fully button down belted fit & flare maxi dress can make an excellent duster vest. 🤩Have a denim dress that when it's unbuttoned (& tied up in the back) gives matrix vibes when wearing all black (mock turtleneck & jeggings) underneath & combat boots. 😏Mid + high rise bottoms (pants or skirts) are better for those w/an hourglass shape too. Otherwise, shorter tops & jackets are far more flattering for our form. 😬True crop tops don't always work with larger breasts, but it's easy to knot or ruche a longer top. 😬Unless it's a camisole layer, I detest a full tuck. Will do a half tuck in front or side in order. This will raise a hem, and create a more attractive line. 😁Lastly, belts are our friend. Wider widths suit low waists, while slimmer belts are better for a high waist. Although it's still slightly better to belt higher than our natural waistline. Again, that helps fool the eye about our proportions. Prefer to go monochromatic with belts (vs contrasting), but that's just my preference. There's a lot of room to go edgy with this accessory. 💚 Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)

Those 🖤&🤍 vertical striped trousers en fuego🔥❕ (Owned a softer, drapier pair of 💓hot pink & black vertical striped pants in the late 80s.) They still speak to me on so many levels, but don't have the swag to carry it off any more❕😉Do like the notion of 🔌power pants or garments that make us feel fierce 🦁❕ ✅Outstanding staple pieces, esp. shoes. Haven't done jeans for about 2 decades, but admire how you style them. Luckily, I can steal your ideas for skirts. Do not aspire to minimalism (bcos I love variety), but I def believe in mindful purchases that are meant to last through time. 💚 Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)
