Awesome list, but one thing about using flushable wipes-many countries have plumbing and sewer systems that can’t handle this. Something that I’ve found that is better is a portable bidet. It’s basically a bottle of water with a special spray attachment. I find it cleaner than wipes and then you have no plumbing issues. Within the US, wipes are a great option though.

The "travel pharmacy" is honestly very underrated. I was in the everglades and sliced my toe open last year. Of course the everglades are a near hour drive to any major facility, but I carry gauze, tape, and bandage to wrap my foot well until I can get somewhere for the professionals to take over. My portable pharmacy is only that, to get me through an emergency until someone more equipped can help.

I travel a lot for work and this list is perfection. It's refreshing to see someone talk about actual practical things to bring. I have one addition. I bring a mini bottle of spray avian water. It sets your makeup, refreshes your face when it's hot, and if you couple it with your fan, brings some nice heat relief.

Great video and all very good suggestions. A note to those who cruise, your pharmacy bag is very important since the cruiseship won’t carry everything you might need for OTC medicines, and whatever it does carry will be very expensive. In addition, the store isn’t open when you’re in port. Carry your own - you won’t be sorry!!

Honestly the most useful items for me traveling are: band aids, wet wipes, toilet seat covers and rubber gloves. The last 2 will last you forever if you buy a pack but will save you a lot of headaches if you’re in grimy environments. I also carry thin running gloves because they are great if you are using public bikes or scooters.

Vicks inhaler - watch out as they contain meds that are banned in Japan Disposable toothbrush - I just bring chewing gum Slippers- you can use a hotel shower cap to cover them when packed to keep your other gear clean Eye mask - I pack a Buff that doubles as a neck and/or head covering to keep the sun off, and which can be worn as an eye mask too

I’m in Europe right now, Romania to be specific, and I can’t stress enough to those of us who suffer from heat… please please please BRING A FAN (portable or rechargeable, whatever). People here have the belief that fans are not ok, or even dangerous for your health, and they don’t use them, and the AC …very very little. I also struggle when asking for cold drinks and they were almost at room temperature so make sure you ask for ice cubes. Make that little fan a MUST in your travel essentials, even more for Europe (I’m from South America and we happily use fans and AC). You will thank me later.

This only works if you're checking luggage but long ago my mother taught me to keep a pair of scissors in my suitcase and it's more important now than ever because if you buy anything from snacks to packaged goods, you can't just open them like in the olden days. They have to be cut open anyway! Also, a tip for stinking up the shared bathroom. If your hotel has a public bathroom in the lobby or the bar, use that for #2 rather than the one in your room.

I’m a big fan of packing nail clippers, cuticle scissors for hangnails (need these after every flight no matter what I do), tweezers, and a nail file. I have them in a tiny pouch. I will put it in my carry on when I’m flying through countries that do not mind them, but I make sure to check it when flying Through countries that do not allow scissors, or metals of any kind that can “be used as a weapon” (india is one of them. Trust me on this one. Most airports there won’t even let you fly with a safety razor in your carry on. Or an umbrella.)

Those exfoliating beads on the wipes are often tiny plastic balls. We don't need more microplastics in the environment. Please choose a biodegradable option.

--- Interesting list. IMHO Mostly overpriced an unnecessary things. Except for the band aids. The Toothbrush holder is an essential part of my travel accessories. The one depicted just covers the head of the brush. Not good for me. I use a the toddler wipes from Walmart / Costco. They cost a fraction of the ones mentioned here. Thanks for the info!

Yeah…what’s the deal with “dude wipes” anyway?? Stupid. Drugstore brand or Huggies (whichever is cheaper) is how me n my “comfortable in his masculinity” man roll.

Please do not buy or use any kind of flushable wipe. None of these break down in septic systems or municipal waterways. The advertising is a LIE in,order to purchase.
