What a generous guy who donated this Vette! I am also impressed that dad (Josh) takes an interest in Son's car. My dad had no interest in anything I had, he owned no tools and was generally disinterested in me. I think that's why I like to see your kids participate happily. You are doing a good job as the Dad. Wah needs to watch an expert pinstriper--its an art form that doesn't come easily, but its a great goal to learn it.

Same here with my parents. They didnt support me in anything i did or had. Im an artist. I sew, paint, cross stitch, make furniture. Ive made 2 queen size beds, myself. Im called on by my friends for crafts. But my parents didnt support me in my hobbies. Im constantly jealous when i see parents treat their kids better than my parents did with me. I have always wished my parents treated me better than they did.

I know what you mean. My dad was born in that short window of time, that he turned 16 and got his license in the mid 60's, when the coolest cars in history were being built, and could be bought cheap. He owned several of them. Then by the time i was born in 1980, he'd been there and done all that i guess, and had just decided he wanted to become one of those darn adults 😂, and was over his cool muscle car obsession. He went from buying big block, 4 speed Chevelles and small block, 4 speed Camaro's, to buying Toyota pickup trucks. Yuck! 🤢 lol

Lol... Talking about sketchy stuff when loading things into the hatchback. That reminded me of when I was a teenager and a friend and I took off the glass hach of a 1984 Camaro, and loaded a 250X Honda fourwheeler into/on the back of the Camaro, and drove about 20 miles (and back) with it in/on there, on the Interstate at about 70 MPH. We put the front wheels up on the roof, and the back wheels sat perfectly wedged down into the lower part of the hatch that dropped down right behind the taillights. Just seeing the expressions on people's faces of shock, confusion, disbelief, some being impressed giving thumbs up, and the look of some of them thinking we were out of our minds for even attempting something like that with a Camaro, was hilarious. It did work though. And it didn't cause any damage at all to the car.

There's nothing wrong with seeing what your 2-seater cruiser will do, mate. I have a Triumph Stag that I have used to a) tow a huge trailer of green waste to the tip, b) carry all sorts of furniture and such when moving my sister to her new house and c) transported a queen-size headboard and two bedside cabinets 112 miles. Had to do them all with the top down - especially the last one as the headboard would only fit if I put the legs down behind the front seats and had the board itself sticking out about 6 inches either side of the car. It was an awesome wind break though! Great to see the Vette getting some love again - and wow, what a difference the new cluster makes, eh? Analogue gauges are always easier to see a problem with just a quick glance as you know where the needle is supposed to be sitting. Great to see that the fuel filter was all the issue was with that fuel system too. Always best to start with the cheapest and simplest potential solution - and in this case you nailed it. Great to hear the big old 350 do her thing....although I agree it would be much better if you could hear her MORE! All the best

Here's a neat project idea. Take the old Corvetee dash pieces and fab a frame to hold them together as they were in the dash. Add some LEDs to the clear acrylics so all the dash (speedo, rpm, warning lights) lights up and create a desk/table/wall lamp. Maybe someone could create a cover plate with "Corvette" milled out in black plastic that could be backlit so the Corvette lights up too.

Best trick I’ve learned to hold bolt in on the end of a socket, is to just push the bolt through a piece of tissue or paper towel. Really holds it well and not messy like using grease.

Hey Ralphie!! lol “OEM” is just an abbreviation for “Factree” lol . Glad you are getting your Vette in shape, working with your dad and the learning experience you receive is a priceless gift you will get to pass on.. I’m never surprised at how how much you are growing and learning from your dad, and it makes my heart smile seeing how much fun you all have doing what makes your dad happy! Sorry we missed you guys this year at Ford Fest.. I can’t seem to get a break from work and do anything anymore, I haven’t even really been able to make any content for our channel either.. I’m praying that our economy will improve and I can afford financially and time wise to continue our KZbin voyage as well.. Much love from The HomeWrencher family to our SleeperDude Family ❤ -Paul
