Worked like a charm! The usb-hub behind the head unit in my peugeot 108 was turned with its face towards the front of the car (I noticed because I saw screws facing me, and the USB on the right-side of the usb-hub was positioned more towards the the top of the usb-hub instead of the bottom like in the video), so I had to unplug the bottom-left instead of top-left USB and redirect it! Please beware of this potential detail everyone :)!

I have just done this conversion to a 3 button on a 2 button 2018 108 with Sat Nav. Instructions were fine on the video but I couldn’t get Apple car play to work or charge. I ended up taking the unit back out and noticed with a magnifying glass that the 1 of the 4 pins on the unit that the USB connected to was bent, i straightened it out and plugged the plug back in and all working good

That needs to be plugged back in, but without the hub in between

That cable was disconnected from the head unit, before rerouting the cable coming from the USB port, which is plugged into the head unit directly now. My question is: what is done with the cable that you unplug from the head unit (the one that comes out of the hub)

You can leave that unplugged and dangling behind the head unit without any worries

That is a really good question. I don't think you have the USB socket in place, so you might need to retrofit everything

You definitely need to get another shroud for the radio if you'd going to give that a try. Do you have steering wheel buttons? If so, I think it should be possible

Hey! If you've got the two button unit, you won't be able to use Android Auto. You need to upgrade to the unit at the end of the video

Yes! Do you have navigation on the main unit? If so, there is an USB splitter behind the unit that you'll need to disconnect then Android Auto will work

Yes it did. It will work if you don't have that, the navigation is handled by your phone

Nope, if you originally have a navigation system, you'll need to disconnect the USB splitter behind the head unit

Thanks for your comment! No Android Auto will not work wirelessly. If the OEM unit has the same part number as the old unit, it'll work otherwhise it won't

That's great. My wife's car is a 2019 Peugeot 108 with integrated Navigation system. When you have the Navigation system, there is no Android Auto possible. I would love to find a solution for that issue as I think this is just a software question...

Is that the X-Nav navigation? If it is, you'll need to pull the USB hub from behind the navigation system

It's not that the buttons are at fault, it's the older version of the hardware that doesn't support Android Auto or Apple CarPlay

Just connect it straight through. You'll need to remove the USB adapter if you have one, so if you don't have one, don't bother
