Waivers mean nothing in court when you as a promoter allow them to stand in a danger zone, you would think nobody would want to be anywhere near a 150mph wheel/tire doing a burnout and potential for it to come off and unalive 2-10 people but they dont seem to care lol

it’s fun but it’s usually a super long nights, once small tire starts it’s usually about 10 minutes between every race, gone 4 times and never even got through a full one, some times it can be 45 mins or over an hour of down time for no reason at all then they randomly take off like nothing

I'd guess a lot of these folks run a car related business and the race car is a somewhat hidden business expense. So it's much more tax efficient. Plus they have all the facilities to work on the cars and people to help. I'd also expect drag racing is all they do, no other sports, no fancy holidays, no college funds.. just drag racing.

It makes really good sense actually. The surface is the limiting factor. A 2000+ small tire car cannot put 2000 horsepower down at this track and it would be really hard to run down a 1000+ hp AWD car that's got 100 or more feet out right off the line. At a prepped track it's different, sure.
