@JamieChorley 2 күн бұрын
@@TheRealAbraxas It's not about muscle mass lol. It's about the fact that PED's significantly reduce your recovery time, meaning you can train harder, longer and with greater pay off, so by the time you hit competition and they're mostly out of your system, you're still benefitting from that training. Nobody thinks athletes are taking them because looking like the rock is an advantage. Jones tested positive for turinabol and clomid, it's not like he popped off some random ass tainted supplement.

@@lastautumn232in fighing, not getting tired is all the advantage you'd probably want, some of the best fighter were the ones who didn't get tired or could melt guys in the later rounds. PEDs also make you a bit faster, how many of people's shots are off by a little bit? A majority of them, if the speed difference is landing more of those missed shots, that's another major advantage to taking them. People that defend PED use, use non-combat sports data to say it's not that bad, when it matters a lot in contact sports.

@@User56821 I don't think it needs to be a mean-spirited argument between these two, they're both true GOATs of this sport. Both avenged losses. GSP dominated welterweight and even went up to middleweight and took the belt. DJ had an insane dominant reign at flyweight in UFC and, when traded to ONE, held down the flyweight division there, which, at 135lbs capped, was actually a UFC bantamweight equivalent class. And, of course, both true champs never stained their illustrious careers with PEDs.

The Brock Lesnar/Mark Hunt situation still irks me to this day. Everyone knew that Lesner was still on the juice. Mark Hunt spent the whole buildup to the fight talking about Lesnar was on the juice but he didn't care because he was going to knock Lesnar out. The fight happens. Mark Hunt gets dominated. After the fight it is revealed that Lesnar popped on the test and then Hunt starts complaining about it. Hunt spent months saying he knew Lesnar was on it and didn't care. Once it was confirmed that Lesnar was on it Hunt started complaining and Hunt has every right to complain but Hunt shouldn't have spent months saying he didn't care when he clearly did care but he wanted to get paid on that UFC 200 card. (Edit. Speaking of UFC 200, Jones vs. Cormier 2 was supposed to happen at UFC 200 but Jones tested positive for steroids.)

1:06 That is an interesting part of it. It's actually a fair point to make imo, tho maybe not ideal in ways. A lot of people say, "Imagine how good he could have been! He did all this while on coc! That's why he's so good, bc he should probably be even better." Which I feel has some merit, but at same time, it's kind of a backhanded compliment. Plus it's not like coc is all* he failed for, and no way to know how often or how much etc.. I agree it is kind of an interesting, maybe counterintuitive way to promote a fighter. Like while it is realistic and fair point to make, the way it hits the ear of some audience members, it is not very flattering, at least not as much as when it comes up on Rogan or on an mma show or something.

Plus weed is known to cause enlarged breast tissue as well, so together it made the one boob. Steroids DO affect fights. Could it allow a fighter to performance at higher a level deep into fight than they would naturally? Yes. Could it allow a fighter to have better coniditioning to be ultimately more durable than they would be naturally? Yes. Would Dillashaw naturally have been able to recover as quickly when Cody dropped him in their first fight without and go on to finish Cody in the subsequent round? Or would Jon Jones naturally have been fresh enough to find that headkick against DC in their 2nd fight? Maybe, but now we will never really know for certain who was actually the better man those nights.

Lesnar's use was egregious and well support by UFC which is why Mark Hunt's comment post 309 was so important and slid under the radar. The heavy weight fight should have been Jones vs Lesnar.

About the picograms thing, the way drugs work (psychoactive ones at least, I'm pretty sure steroids do too) is your body cuts the concentration approximately in half every x time which means it'll never be 0. That means that if you have a tiny amount of a drug in your body usually just means that you dosed a while ago instead of some mystery residue in supplements
@gilbertoflores7397
@gilbertoflores7397 2 сағат бұрын
The Picogram nonsense was an excuse to justify why he was poping so much, as Anthony Smith and Gus have said, he was poping so much on fight week they stopped reporting on it, and Jon has been caught using the other drugs that they based their findings on; yet Jones wasn't poping for traces of thay other drug.

@MNToThat I agree, but what about the people he beat that were on it when he may not have been? Chael admitted to it when they fought for the title, Vitor jacked Jon's entire arm and Jon still won and Vitor was juiced to the hills, then Cornier actually had a weird friggin spike, Shogun as well, I do think we have to draw the line, but where?

Question: if you take synthetic testosterone, does the body get accustomed to having it given and therefore loses its own ability to make it - which would result in a lower baseline testosterone level once the synthetic testosterone is stopped ? I ask because, for people who take stimulants such as cocaine, it increases the dopamine levels in the body but with regular use, the body loses its own ability to make its own dopamine which typically results in depression.

I respect Johnson's pov on cannibis helping hi to the point that he would consider it a ped. what a stand up dude. Although anything that hinders the mind or alters the state of the unaltered mind is a hinderance. Cannabis when ingested through the digestive tract and a certain type of thc or cbd it lacks the chemical that will affect the mind, So I think that would be ok for even a christian that would be worried about living a clean lifestyle.
