Mark Hunt spent the whole buildup to the fight talking about Lesnar was on the juice but he didn't care because he was going to knock Lesnar out. The fight happens. Mark Hunt gets dominated. After the fight it is revealed that Lesnar popped on the test and then Hunt starts complaining about it. Hunt spent months saying he knew Lesnar was on it and didn't care. Once it was confirmed that Lesnar was on it Hunt started complaining and Hunt has every right to complain but Hunt shouldn't have spent months saying he didn't care when he clearly did care but he wanted to get paid on that UFC 200 card. Plus it's not like coc is all* he failed for, and no way to know how often or how much etc.. I agree it is kind of an interesting, maybe counterintuitive way to promote a fighter. About the picograms thing, the way drugs work (psychoactive ones at least, I'm pretty sure steroids do too) is your body cuts the concentration approximately in half every x time which means it'll never be 0. That means that if you have a tiny amount of a drug in your body usually just means that you dosed a while ago instead of some mystery residue in supplements

Love this interview. It's cool to see even MMA guru saying Jon is the greatest fighter, but GOAT is hard because of the positive tests. You can't just overlook it all, because there were people he fought that used as well, but the blemishes are still there
@MNToThat2 күн бұрын
Yeah, I think they're all doing it but we have to draw the line somewhere.. Failing a test is that line for me.
@AStupidPersonnКүн бұрын
@MNToThat I agree, but what about the people he beat that were on it when he may not have been? Chael admitted to it when they fought for the title, Vitor jacked Jon's entire arm and Jon still won and Vitor was juiced to the hills, then Cornier actually had a weird friggin spike, Shogun as well, I do think we have to draw the line, but where?

Correction: Not everyone that was in Pride was on roids. Rampage was always clean.

One of the worst things about Jon is his biggest wins are against DC who had a perfect USADA record and was a perfect example of a clean athlete and Jon tested positive against him twice essentially (once when he pulled out at 200, and then after their actual fight)

@gilbertoflores73972 сағат бұрын
That's a dirty secret about drug testing apparently, since USADA might not have many reliable source to collect samples in foreign countries, they don't test many fighters when they're in remote locations.

Mighty Mouse the GOAT at his weight classes. Khabib the GOAT at his weight class. Jon Jones is a temporary "GOAT" right now at light-heavy weight/ heavy weight and Tom Aspinall will be the GOAT in about 5 years time.
@RockerBenКүн бұрын
Stipe is still the most accomplished at HW. Losing to Jon after effectively 3+ years of retirement doesn't mean anything for Jon's "legacy". Just like Jake Paul isn't a better boxer than Mike Tyson.

Question: if you take synthetic testosterone, does the body get accustomed to having it given and therefore loses its own ability to make it - which would result in a lower baseline testosterone level once the synthetic testosterone is stopped ? I ask because, for people who take stimulants such as cocaine, it increases the dopamine levels in the body but with regular use, the body loses its own ability to make its own dopamine which typically results in depression.

I respect Johnson's pov on cannibis helping hi to the point that he would consider it a ped. what a stand up dude. Although anything that hinders the mind or alters the state of the unaltered mind is a hinderance. Cannabis when ingested through the digestive tract and a certain type of thc or cbd it lacks the chemical that will affect the mind, So I think that would be ok for even a christian that would be worried about living a clean lifestyle.

In most sports, athletes get removed from any Goat debate after failing 1 drug test, let alone 4 (actually 6)

Lets be honest roids DO take you from A to B. Increases your strength by a lot, durability by a good amount, and in terms of skill and fight IQ, it helps you train harder and practice more and sharpen and develop techniques, all of which gives you experience and helps with fight IQ.

The way y'all are describing "it makes you recover faster and feel better" legitimately just makes me wanna say why is it even illegal? Wouldn't we want fighters to recover faster and fight into their 40s?

Taking in consideration how common PED were in Pride really put a spin on a GOAT conversation. How do we compare it to UFC, like pride was considered higher level at a time, but it was roids devision.
