Pettis vs Holloway had some wild stuff happen leading up to it. Daniel Cormier vs Jon Jones was scheduled to headline the event. DC pulls out with injury which would've meant there was no title on the line for a ppv card. So UFC stripped McGregor of his 145 title - upgraded Jose Aldo from interim champ to undisputed champ - and upgraded the Pettis/Holloway fight to be for an interim title. This worked out great for Max, he presumably went into his title unification bout with Jose Aldo earning ppv points. If DC didnt pull out that would not have happened. Interesting bit of trivia -> Jose Aldo never became the undisputed champ in the octagon. He was the UFC's inaugural featherweight champion when the company absorbed WEC, and then later was upgraded to undisputed from his interim featherweight title victory over Frankie Edgar.

I miss Pettis tbh. He always had a good energy and fun style. Chill guy. The moral of this clip is, life is chaotic and you need to account for that whilst chasing goals. Manage the surrounding chaos and perfom; an intangible of a champion that you dont learn in the gym.

@amirhussain302822 сағат бұрын
maybe so, his boxing style might not holdup against high volume mma striking combos but maybe in order to get off so many combos youre in the danger zone and he can ko you. So either in very close e.g. against the cage dirty striking or at kickboxing range. But hes got takedowns so can mitigate that.

Why does pettis look different .. like Botox or something
@lsanchez1822Күн бұрын
Weight gain, accumulated trauma to the face, broken facial bones, surgeries, etc. those to me seem more plausible than Botox. Look at Nate Diaz and compare his face back then and now. Cris Cyborg, Rose Namajunes, etc. they have gone through a ton of facial structure changes.
