There’s a difference between grabbing the fence and putting your hand on the fence for leverage. Sometimes is may look like you’re grabbing it but even pushing your closed fist against the fence can help maintain your leverage

You will see a big difference between Rob and Usman in terms of how they handle the wrestling exchanges. Usman is probably already the best wrestler Chimaev will ever face in his career (we have to see how Bo Nickal does in MMA)

No one has ever manhandled Usman the way Khamzat did, insanely impressive, granted he faded a bit but he also hurt his hand very bad to the point he couldn't even punch with it.

Short notice fights has its advantages you don’t have to train as hard for many months in a way somewhat coming in fresh into the fight like not as banged up and the gameplan they had for the original opponent is out the window, fighting is second nature to these guys you act like being out for a couple months they become Bambi and have to learn to walk again and not to mention usman’s mindset is the reason why he‘s there in the first place fighting isn’t just physical half of it is mental

It seemed like Usman fought scared after the first round. Understandbly so, first round Khamzat is a mythical fighter. But the second round is definitely where you wanna make your move and put that pressure on him. Even in the burns fight he was having a hard time in the second. I am really really curious to see how Khamzat will fare in rounds 4&5 (if the fight takes that long) I am a fan of both and I don't really have a favorite to win the fight. I think KC has had so much time off to train and develop that he’s gonna be more sound and patient for this fight. Possibly show us more than what we’ve seen before then again most believe he’s gonna empty the tank round 1 and won’t last. 🤷🏽♂️ Guess we will see next week.
