Myriam, your timing couldn't be more fortuitous! I spent far too many hours on Saturday looking for an airbrush that I could use just to push air around, tonight while listening to some jazz I looked up the menu list and saw your title, My Favorite AIRBRUSHfor just blowing Air & Why! I am in heaven and quickly going over to Amazon and purchasing what you suggest! Thank YOU so much for basically making my decision for me, now just loan me some of your talents and I will be even happier!

I also purchased this one a couple weeks ago after reading reviews on Amazon. I finally figured out how to get the wispy effects last night after many failures with other methods and find that it is much easier with this airbrush as you can control the amount of air flow by how much pressure you put on the trigger. I was really happy to see that you also use the same model. Thank you for sharing your videos. I find them very helpful.

@@MyriamsNature I love your note! The trick, I think, to using the air brush is to get a happy medium...when you shove the ink with air, there has to be a juicy feel to it so it doesn't fade out. Yet, keep it flowing like a hockey puck on ice. I hope that made sense! My lazy days are almost over. Hopefully going back to work on Wednesday. Thank you and stay healthy!

This is the air brush that I purchased several months ago! Love it. Is there a difference in pulling back on the trigger &/or just depressing it?
@MyriamsNature5 жыл бұрын
Hi Lynne! When the airbrush is empty it doesn’t really matter. When the cup is full of ink or paint, pulling back on the trigger releases the paint (and you can adjust the amount by how far back you pull the trigger). Just depressing the trigger only blows air. This is the case in a “double action” airbrush like the one that comes with the Master kit. There are some single action brushes where you can only push down and that just releases paint. 😊💕

Thank you, Mariam - for explaining in great detail regarding the air brush and compressor. I had no idea which one to get. I do have Yupo paper - would that be best??? I absolutely love all your work and have decided to Subscribe to your channel. I LOVED THIS VIDEO!! You are so sweet. Hi Maeve! Welcome to the wonderful world of alcohol ink... I think you’re going to love it 😊. Thank you for subscribing. I hope that this channel will be useful to you. Yupo is very good for alcohol ink in that is non-porous and for many years it has been the “paper” of choice for alcohol inkers. Late last year I had the privilege of being a tester for a new plastic paper that I now recommend more : Grafix Opaque White. Here is a video that explains why : kzbin.info/www/bejne/a4bUoYShncyWfbs Here are links for the plastic : - 9x12” - pack of 25 sheets: bit.ly/Grafix-9x12-25 - 12x12” - pack of 25 sheets: bit.ly/Grafix-12x12-25 - 12x12” - pack of 4 sheets: bit.ly/Grafix-12x12-4 If you’re on FB, I’d love to have you join my group... there are a lot of alcohol ink artists sharing their work, resources, etc. It’s a great place to ask questions, get inspired, and show off what you make. Do you like Ranger as much as Maribu or pinata inks ?
@deeholman51765 жыл бұрын
Myriam, this is exactly what I need. I do have questions. Is the compressor noisy? Is there a lot of maintenance to the compressor? And what about the Airbrush, is it hard to clean? I tried an airbrush but I bought it separately from the compressor and the two did not seem to be compatible. So I sent those back. I realize I need to buy the two items together so I know they will be able to fit and use. I do like your video and it is helpful. So thanks for the video. One last question. Can this airbrush and compressor strong enough to blow paint as in a dutch pour?

I have been looking at both of the bigger compressors you have in your description. They both have some bad reviews. Could you give me your opinion please. ?
@mollierhodes27835 жыл бұрын
Hi. Newbie here. I have been needing just this info but I have a question....maybe a dumb one but.... the type of project I need an airbrush for requires short, powerful bursts of air such as from canned air. Will this airbrush achieve that? I will also be using for moving around alcohol inks, but for now I need the same air power potential as canned air. Many thanks!
@MyriamsNature5 жыл бұрын
Hi Mollie! I am a strong believer that there are no dumb questions when we’re trying to understand something. 😊 Canned air actually isn’t air but pressurized hydrocarbons I believe. My understanding is that they escape the can at anywhere from 70 psi and higher. Could blowing weaker bursts for a bit longer achieve what you need? The advantage of the airbrush over the canned “air” is that the airbrush will not become too cold to handle as the can will after a few blasts. If you must have higher pressure your best bet will probably be a “real” compressor/regulator. It will allow you much more control and much higher psi. They are significantly larger but not very much more in cost. I hope that was of some help. 😊💕
@mollierhodes27835 жыл бұрын
Myriam's Nature thank you so much. What I’m trying to do is make some flowers on tiles like I’ve seen on Pinterest. When the canned air is aimed at the dot of alcohol ink it “shoots out” to form the flower petal. I hope this makes sense. That’s what I am trying to do. So if I order a larger compressor it can do this plus everything the one you reviewed will do as well? Thanks for your time. I am amazed by your work and inspired by your personality.
