Thanks for the temp and air flow settings! I suggest getting blue tac to hold those little suckers while testing them! I can't work without blue tac. I always see pros such as you struggle with the same issuue, componenents blowing away while testing them. I just pull my hair.. use blue tac people!! I'm a novice, but I do not struggle with this issue. Great video , as always.

I believe I do have some blue tac down in my drawer somewhere. What I should have done it left it attached to the board on one end.

nice cap hunting one. I have the same LCR tweezer and find it reading capacitance off quite a lot compared to DMM, just like you finding 17uF but on DMM would be around 20uF-ish.

Hi. Great upload and thank you. Do you buy the PS5s on eBay or something or are you running a repair shop?

Great find! Why do we replace this kind of capacitor? I do laptop repair and blown caps i never replace if it is powersupply related. What is your vision on replacing those caps?
@ToltecMerc9 ай бұрын
Why would you not replace a bad component if you can get a proper replacement?
@Ismail-19839 ай бұрын
@@ToltecMerc most caps for the powersupply are there to help the motherboard get through the FCC test for the manufacturer. I tested on laptop motherboards to remove every cap of the powersupply and scoped the signals before and after with no difference and motherboard works fine. If it is not powersupply related i replace them.

@@ToltecMerc can you make a video showing how to test south bridge. Like a little guide. Showing all diode readings and voltage test points. I keep having issues with trying to know if my issue is SB related or SSD related.

Easy to test if you lay them on a piece of double sided tape flipped and not peeled. Wont go flying to another dimension then

I have some Hakko hot tweezers. I never seem to use them. I have the station with just two ports so it remains unplugged most of the time.
@kocetoMR9 ай бұрын
you prefer to heat the whole board for a small cap,while your tweezers sit unused.This is why hakko are losing value on the stock market.
