Great video. Could you also please confirm if we need to show interest from PPF in the ITR every year as exempt income or can we show it in ITR directly after maturity of 15 years?
@saidhatrak85013 жыл бұрын
U need to show it every year as exempt income. On maturity, only that year's income is required to be shown
@anilshenoy58593 жыл бұрын
Interest earned on PPF account has to be included under exempt income every year. If you don't declare interest as exempt income department may treat it as a taxable income since you have not claimed the exempt income and lead to unnecessary problems.

I suggest you to make a video for the Income Tax Department for the arithmetical, silly mistakes and blunders in the NEW online tax filing portal that is some how cooked up by Infosys. I have lodged three GRIEVANVES but those have remained unattended, unanswered.
