The battery life is indeed the most understated reason for getting the 14 Pro Max. I’ve been using Pro Max for the past few iPhones. But for 14, I decided to get the 14 Pro. Loved it, until I found that the battery wasn’t enough for me especially on vacation when the screen is operating at high brightness in outdoor conditions. The phone always dies on me mid day. After 6 months, I sold the 14 Pro and switched back to 14 Pro Max.

Ending a full day of work, gym, hanging out with friends, watching KZbin and Netflix on my commute and having 20% left from 8am to 10pm. It’s funny seeing different people’s takes on this. I used an iPad Mini 2 in place of a phone in high school. Now my iPhone XR, which has the same screen size as the 14 but a body size halfway between the pro/pro max due to bezels, feels small to me. Oh, I got used to it and can certainly appreciate how much better it is one-handed and how much more easily it can fit into my pockets - but, truth be told, if iPad Mini 6 could be used as a phone without having another phone and two cellular plans, I would upgrade from my XR to the current Mini, because I miss having a “phone” that big. Instead, I’m planning on buying a 15 Pro Max this year. It’s supposed to have record-breaking thin bezels and so a 6.7 inch display won’t be much bigger than the body of my 6.1-inch XR, but the extra screen real estate from being 10% wider and taller, and having a much smaller notch, should be more like what I miss.

Thank you! I have finally decided on going for the iPhone 14 Pro instead since I have a smaller hand. I'm currently using the 6+ so I think the screen is enough for me. If I want a larger display i'll just switch to my iPad. If I need more battery life, i'll just use my powerbank.

I’m considering the 15 pro max from my 12 pro. I also find typing frustrating at times, use the camera _a lot_ , watch tons of video content and want more battery life. I think those things alone justify the size increase va things like one-handed usability

I myself have the 14 pro, the reason I did not choose the pro max is because of the size and weight. I have smaller hands and woman jeans do not usually have big pockets. So even though the pro max has a better battery, I love my pro. It still has a good battery and it is easier for me to hold😊

For me the trade off with carrying the 14 Pro Max versus the standard size 14 Pro simply isn’t worth it especially since IOS is so limiting with how you can use a larger screen. My 14 Pro is carried much more than it’s actually used, most of my screen time is spent on iPads especially the iPad Mini 6.

I used to buy the biggest iPhone on offer but I like the Pro better. I’m 5’3 and when I had a Pro Max type I did a lot of shuffling with my hand trying to use the keyboard. The keyboard on an iPhone is great. And I have 1T of storage. But back to the Pro. It fits in my shirt pocket. It fits in my back pocket in my jeans or shorts. No fear of falling of any pocket. The battery is smaller but I can get a MagSafe charger that piggybacks on my phone.

Battery life is important to me but not really an issue since I’m often near a charger and carry an ext battery pack with me. The issue for me is typing. My 12 mini is bad with typos. I tried the regular and Max/Plus phones in a store and could tell two-thumb typing works much better. That said, my budget much prefers a regular sized iPhone…

What about the size, do you ever find it too big? I have the SE 3rd gen, since it will very likely be the final home button phone, and its a tiny bit bigger than the 12/13 mini. Upgrading in size, maybe to the 13, has been a cool idea, but I’m just scared it might be harder to hold or will not fit in my pocket as securely as it should. Whenever I try holding my dad’s iphone 11, which is a bit bigger than a 12, and has a thicker case, and it doesn’t necessarily feel that comfortable to hold. I cant imagine what a pro max would be like
@sunny27jan Жыл бұрын
@@8xus_1 Sorry for the late reply! Honestly speaking I was very skeptical before my purchase (14 Pro Max) and I had the same concern but it took me 1-2 week to become comfortable with its size and I am loving it now. Also when I pick up my old iPhone X, I feel like how small it is 😁 and how did I use it for many years. Well from now onwards Pro Max size will always be my preference. If your hands 🙌🏻 are small or regular size then go for Pro only as my hands are bigger than regular. I don’t feel uncomfortable while using it but yeah sometimes it feels uncomfortable when I put in the pocket.

So yeah! Absolutely no problem. I’m happy with my choice 😁

Seeing the difference from the Pro max that I have vs the size of the pro…I realized I just have big hands so it didn’t seem as big as others made it seem
@HolloVVpoint Жыл бұрын
It’s funny because after owning both across various generations, I find that although the Max has the bigger battery it only lasts slightly longer for my usage. For example if I charge my phone around 6 pm I’m charging the max around 6:20/30 which negates the point of getting a larger phone for me. I got big hands and long fingers but for some reason the pro max phones are just uncomfortable to hold especially when compared to competitor phones like say the S23 ultra. So will probably be sticking with the pro models until the next full redesign.

Had the 13 Pro and loved it, so I doubled down and got the 14 Pro Max in Silver with 256GB about a week ago. Honestly I thought it’d be a heavy and huge phone, but I find that it’s the perfect size for me. Cameras are good, but I find they’re not as consistent as the 13 Pro, plus the minimum focus distance is very different too, so that’s something I’ll need to adapt to. Battery life is excellent, I have to really try my damndest to kill this phone. Display is phenomenal. That 2000 nits peak brightness outdoors is something I didn’t know I wanted. Always on display was long over due - though I’m not sure how I feel about it so far. My life is dominated by timers, so dynamic island is genuinely useful for me, I do wish it did more though. Overall, I’m very happy with this phone. I’d you got the money - treat yo self. Scoop it up.
