Even though you may never read this, I just felt the need to come back to one of your videos and comment this: I am a female who found your channel roughly a year ago. There was a boy I had seen in the hallways at school every day and I found him very attractive, and thanks to your videos, in April 2022, I approached him and asked for his phone number. We have been together now for 9 months. This is the happiest I have been in such a long time. I gained so much confidence, partly thanks to your content among other things, so thank you so much.

I felt everything you’ve said. Especially this one! I believe that when you work on yourself, have that energy, & embrace your faults as well as your accomplishments, you can’t help but become your best self. It’s quite profound to create the life you want or at least being on track to get there, that’s the sweet spot for me. What if you lose your spark? What if anxiety and sadness stop you from shining? How do you get back the momentum to WANT TO create the best version of yourself and life???

Thank you Matthew for this video of what I call "Gold Nuggets". From someone who has followed you for years, what I find MOST compelling about your videos is your rule #8 - Say IT in a fresh way from your perspective. That IS your effectiveness! You may think you need to condense it and use fewer words, and sometimes you do. However it's hearing your story and metaphors that really creates the impact. To answer your question for #14 I personally choose to focus on #12, Execute, take imperfect action. Thanks again Matt & Team!

“Saying it new”. instead of saying something new….. loving your story. This is such a beautiful video. I had circles of this running in my head as I am trying to create content ….. the compassion for ourselves in the iteration process. I always said creativity is iteration the willingness to lead when your uncertain of the result and be comfortable in the process of it. Thankyou for saying it Matthew. Iteration is the best . I want to uplevel my voice projection and my body language. On point number 4 be passionate isn’t this similar to energy. I find when I am passionate I bring a different energy and the energy of what I love comes accross passionate. So point 4, 2 and 12? lean to what you love are all interrelated.

I happened to come to similar conclusions literally right before I found and watched this video. I’d gotten up this morning and decided to just create little tasks one by one and quit waiting for an outcome. Do I think this video is brilliant because it agrees with me, or is it brilliant on its freestanding face? No matter. It’s brilliant. Matthew and I are both brilliant. 😊❤

I stumbled upon your videos after my relationshit (ha) & then subsequently my life blew up unexpectedly prior to the Covid lockdown. I thought at the time I’d NEVER EVER date again but continued to periodically check in w your content. Fast forward to 2023 & while dating is not currently a priority for me, your content is almost always applicable as I rebuild my relationship with myself/ personal & professional relationships. This was EXCELLENT & I plan to download your new guide (something I rarely even consider doing from KZbin speeches). May I suggest adding more videos like this vs titles only involving dating to your 2023 goals?! Stay “wordy” w that accent & happy new year 😜 XX in Austin

Massive thanks for number 11! I've always been surrounded by people having strong opinions. For a long time, I tried copying them, their confidence in their principles, even though I didn't agree necessarily all the time, even though I found them more than once disproving their own arguments by their behaviours. Now I embrace not having an opinion on everything or sharing other perspectives to add to the discussion, not to feel right and win. BTW, this video is gold! I'll definitely watch it more than once Also, I personally really appreciate that you're able to build a full length argumentation on the spot. I like catch phrases and take homes but not as much as a whole dissertation. I am always so impressed by how quick you find where you want to go and just build the path to there with relevant points and examples. Some people have Tony Robbins as inspirations, some others have you :)

This is one of my all time favorite videos of yours. Because it lays the groundwork for impact in a simple, authentic and unique way. Say it new . As I evolve. from landscape architect to my a new phase of my life were i’m creating content , coaching creative visionaries and living into a future of infinite possibilities I see things in this video I didn’t see before. Its like the path you walk in the forest you know the one you take daily and know so well is suddenly alive because you see how the light is streaming through the leaves in a particular part of the path that before you didn’t notice because you were focused on the stream bubbling past. most people talk about the things they love as the big moments but one of my quirks is i’m fascinated by the small moments the detail behind things AND experience of big events . At the retreat I was enamored with the little details at each event the set design, the little centerpieces on the tables the backdrops with so much characture that lends the experience a depth and meaning a quirky ness that is enduring.

These will always be my favorite videos of yours. Because of you, I read William Zinsser's, On Writing Well and it really did change everything. I just have an appreciation for other people who have an appreciation for the subject. Plus you've always been able to articulate what my brain knows to be true. Well done Matthew. Also, you're right... A wise man once told me, never meet your heroes.

… rather than thinking of myself or others as being complex, I look at it from the perspective as being multi-dimensional … and that combined with a depth of rich authenticity is what attracts me … (however, for my own personal challenges, I have to be more aware of separating what’s authentic from the charismatic narcissist)

Just feed back on speaking effectively. I can see areas that could be cut, but I also LOVE how thorough you explain a topic. It's so valuable in understanding not just the subject but your intention in what you are conveying and I personally think that is what makes you so effective. It shows more into your integrity and creates a higher respect for your content 😊

On your last point of speaking effectively, meaning for you to put things in less words, the interesting thing that has made you such an effective speaker, at least in your video content, somewhat ironically contrary to your goal, is the fact that you do take so much time to elaborate the point. Recently I was watching your video from 4 years ago about emotion and logic in relationships. You took 14 minutes more or less to get to the point of 'use logic as a tool in your approach to relationships'. The elaboration you made to get to that point however was what allowed for it to be understood and for people to get to the emotional place they needed to be to accept that idea which is something you are extremely good at compared to others in your craft. As a long time fan, I've really appreciated this video, keep up the good work.

I can relate to wanting to use less words to formulate/articulate the message I want to get across. My other big issue is eye contact I've spent my whole life avoiding looking people in the eye and it has really hurt me especially in dating. I'm shy and there's some part of me that I guess fears the vulnerable feeling I get when I make eye contact...I really am trying to work on that right now. When I go to the gym I try to force myself to look in the eyes of people as I pass and smiling just to try to get used to acknowledging others around me and having a more positive and present energy.

I'd loved the video. I have purshased your impact programm long time ago, and I felt an inmediate need to review and relisten it again. So thank you for this reminder! And there's so many nice new ideas and examples also you just mentioned. As a person, Matt, you enbody the human growth. I'd loved that you said that for this year you wanted to learn comunicating and speaking skill to be even more efective. And from my point of view it's practicaly perfect as it is. So it's also very inspiring to hear youbday that, to keep growing even though it seems you are already so good at something. It's humbling as well. Thanks for always being such a good row model on self growth topics. And I truly admire you for that. Wish you an amazing year! 🧡
