Amazing piece of advice. That is true, my sister love birthday party and when she was young used to invite and a lot of people most from her churches and they came. But on her last birthday she invite the most closest friends from her church and nobody appears , just us, the family, sadly she not is aware of the change yet.

As a Christian the Bible states where two or more gathered they I 'am I can see as a widower or widow, but Jesus wants us to be with others. We must care for all and the less fortunate. This is a major problem in today's society loneliness it's really the liberal ideology of humanism etc. take care.

Im65, watched llovd one get old and die. After so serious consideration, I am thinking that I might be better off to take myself to a nursing home. Not after I am so out of it that I feel lost & afraid. Old enough to know where I am going, what I will be doing daily, and not afraid that I was not picked up by a family member to go home. I've been a volunteer in a nursing home, and many were so traumatized and confused, waiting to be taken home..Other's were enjoying the days and looking forward to family visits.

Assuming living until you can't feed or defecate on your own is the objective. Doctors were always trying to get me worried about my high blood pressure, PSA, tinnitus induced disequilibrium. The slobs never looked at my gall bladder inflammation causing the high blood pressure. After the surgery it dropped to near "normal" but they still wanted to tinker with that, PSA and other trivial matters. To hell with all that. I'm living a care free life and making sure that if something does happen, I'm permanently out. There is nothing to look forward to in old age once you've done pretty much everything you wanted to. It's all just busy work. What "friends" remain when you're old don't give crap. Kids are so consumed by their trivial careers and stresses you don't hear from them no matter how much you look in on them. Basically, it's learning to live with being superfluous until the hammer drops. So away with all the measures to make life meaningful and productive past 70. Not afraid of death. Just that it will take too long to get there.
