hey Marcus,nice demo,one thing tough,did you forget about the awesome sound variations track (keyswitches) great for multi articulation instruments, two articulations is feasable when playing live,but most of today's instruments have tons,certainly the orchestral ones,cheers

I've had Studio One for two years and not a single crash or hiccup. (Except 3rd party stuff which Studio One will brilliantly isolate and ask what you want to do about it, all without shutting down). I mostly do classical VST instruments with over 400 tracks per session on an M1 and I'm breezing along. You'll be happy. However, Studio One has a lot of hidden features as you are finding out with Marcus. Be patient and you'll be rewarded. If you've got the money, I recommend the Pro version.

@@Tyrell_Corp2019 Thank you for the feedback! I'll definitely be purchasing the Pro version soon. I'm on a Windows 10 system with Intel I7 12th gen. Is the licence perpetual? You get the current version of the software forever when you purchase, and buy updates down the line, am I right?

@@NicholasPanico yes, the license is perpetual. The updates are free as long as you are in the same major number, I mean if you have version 5.x, the updates to any other 5.y will be free, but you should pay for the upgrade to any version 6. You are not forced to do any upgrade if you don’t want and keep using SO with the same version. Major upgrades happen once every two years in average. Regards.

Thanks to Celemony for the transposition magic via dna but it’s not unique just to studio one ARA is used by Logic, cubase, cakewalk, mix craft and others And I’ve be using it in protools as a plug-in since it’s inception and that was before studio one existed some 20 years ago Using PT since version 6, certified from version 8 Actually DNA was released about the same time as studio one 2008-2009 and ARA in studio one 2 in 2011 Just clarifying that this amazing tool is not a studio one exclusive feature If your referring to the chord track then sure, studio one but the more complex chords produce pretty sad results using the extract chord feature And frankly many “musicians” don’t use it because they can actually play their instruments as opposed to dragging in loops I do run SO 5.5 also but it still needs work, I can’t even setup my Arturia vocoder

I know that this video is about comparing Studio One to ProTools, but one thing which I miss the most in Studio One is the ability to skip a section as you can do in LOGIC Pro.
