They don't give the full story. I knew both of the personally, and the mother was on drugs, and the girl was mentally unstable. I wish i could give info but im just a kid. My mother and her mother went to Narcotics Anonymous meetings, and me and her went to therapy in the same establishment... Her mother was high, and the girl was having a mental break down, i cant give names, but i knew both of them, and i never thought the girl would actually do it, she talked about it, but said she would never actualy do it... now shes in juvenile detention... she was such a kind person...

@@SlashHarkenUltra I knew the mom personally too. I won't give names, but she was in recovery with me here in Indiana. We both attended the local NA meetings, and she was working really hard for the last year to get custody of her children. But after finally gaining custody, she started struggling with the drugs again, and I saw he come in and out of the NA rooms for a bit now. When my roommate, a fellow NA member, gave me the news earlier, I was absolutely shocked. Everyone in our recovery community is praying that she pulls through. So yeah, the person above isn't lying. I don't know who it is based off the KZbin tag, but I guarantee I know goldengamer9485 personally.

@@SlashHarkenUltra I did. I live nearby them. The daughter was suicidal, and often had thoughts of hurting her mother, but she said she would never do it.

Y’all just want parents to be good parents and more than not, they aren’t. Healthy, safe kids don’t want to hurt anyone. Esp their parents if they feel safe with them.

I knew the mother personally, but never met the daughter. What I can tell you is that the mother was a recovering addict, and just gained custody of her daughter after over a year of legal battles. While the mother was using for years, the daughter was in and out of custody with the state and foster care, etc. I know that the mother was struggling recently with her own mental health, but she cared about nothing in this world more than her children. I'm fairly certain that her daughter just ended up dealing with a bunch of trauma and mental illness from being in and out of foster care and everything. I was absolutely shook when my roommate told me the news earlier. I'm not naming the people because that's not up to me; but I can tell you that the mother was a damn good person who was trying her best to keep everything afloat while she was dealing with her own demons.

I knew the mother personally, and I know she had been talking recently about her daughter being hard to handle. All I can say is that for the last year that I've known the mother, she spent every ounce of energy into trying to regain custody of her children after years of active addiction. I met her in the rooms of NA, and she was a damn good person. She just happened to have a lot of demons that she was trying to get rid of. From what I know, she loved nothing more in the world than her children. But her daughter, unfortunately, had spent years in and out of state custody and foster care while her mother was trying to get her own things straightened out. But she was in recovery now, and had a lot of lengthy legal battles to gain custody of her daughter again. Beyond that, I can't say, but I pray she makes it through. Last I heard she was still in critical condition; but I know there's a whole community of people back here praying for her to pull through and waiting to give her a big ole hug if she makes it back here. Much love

Thank you all for sharing additional details. It bothered me how this news post was presented “ Another ungrateful kid goes nuts” instead of the much deeper issues. There are limited resources to help those addicted to substances, unless one has much money. I pray for the family, may they find a path to heal.

At 14? Where's she supposed to go? The child is crying for help. I doubt this is her first shout-out either. I hope she gets help and isn't placed back in that home again. If there are other kids, I hope they look into what's going on in that family that caused this girl to act out like she did.

It’s amazing that with all the social safety nets that are available now. Next to nothing ever gets fixed. Years ago when all these bureaucratic agencies were not around there was less of these things happening. So the indications would be keep government agencies out of parenting, parents need to parent and not throw their hands in the air so quickly. Just because putting the responsibility of parenting on someone else is easier doesn’t make it the best thing to do. Also don’t have kids if you don’t have the time and money to raise them to be productive citizens. It all comes down to common sense and personal and social responsibility. And before you do gooders get your panties in a bunch. Yes there are always exceptions to this.
