Jamie Bell has a spectacular and touching performance in this film and he should have been nominated for an Oscar for best actor for this performance. Not being nominated for an Oscar for best actor for this film is one of the biggest injustices of the Academy that year in that category!

Seeing the thumbnail, for a moment I thought this was Tom Holland. Then I remembered that his similarity to Jamie Bell (particularly the lips and chin) is part of the reason why Tom got the Billy Elliot role on stage. The intense dance training of which later helped him get Spider-Man. Ballet takes mad strength. The main reason for Tom's success is of course his talent, it's just fascinating to also have these little coincidences sometimes.
