The rich get richer, the poor get poorer - it's as simple as that. This is what happens with a "trickle down" economy when the "trickle" runs out. The quickest remedy is to tax the highest incomes, raise all the tax thresholds and reduce VAT back to10%, as it was under the Labour Government, before the Tories doubled it. So simple, but none of them will do it.

Don't let the facts get in the way of a "great" headline. Food is still relatively cheap, and a balanced diet is well within everyone's budget The problem is, that because our beloved politicians have capitulated to the god of net zero, we are facing a catastrophic food shortage within 10 years. Then you will see the £10 loaf. This will affect all but the very rich, so you will witness something this country has not seen for over 150 years.

Absolute BS, there is zero reason for anyone to use a food bank; stop buying junk food, stop cooking seperate meals for your umpteen kids, downgrade your TV to Freeview only, use pay as you go for your phone, cut back on your booze and cigs....hey presto, no more food banks. Could be the fact FARMERS are being paid NOT TO PRODUCE FOOD and big supermarket chains buying under price and selling over priced ,same as fuel electric ,gas ,water ,no upgrades in 5 plus years yet prices to customers gone up 5 fold,mortgages up 7/8 fold ,may be this makes the queues bigger at food banks
