Julie I really love this. I admire you so much because of your persistence. You keep on refining your technique until you master it. I wish I could be more like that sometimes. I hop from one idea to another because my mind is so restless it’s great but I find I never quite ‘master’ things the way you do. Thank you for sharing what you learn, it helps people so much xx

They are both uniquely beautiful the first one to me looks great they both have each their own unique style and character. Please do not put yourself down you are a phenomenally great resin artist the work you do is great even the ones you think you made mistakes or accidents. Bob Ross said and I quote: "There are no mistakes only happy little accidents."

Ohhhh, Julie, WOW!!! It worked - YAY!!! It's beautiful! I can only hope to do such nice work like this...one day! I feel like waxing lyrical about the delicate, diaphanous bloom of the petals! I like both, actually! I would buy either one, happily! 😊 If you try this again, maybe go around the middle with the white only once, then use a heat gun blowing (towards the outside?) to get some movement/bloom started in the middle, then finish off the rest of your white on the outer portion...? Don't know if that would work, or just ruin it? WAIT! Just had another idea. What if you used JUST your dashes in the middle area (not too close together!), then regular petals for the rest? Seems to me you dashes always bloom! Would that work? Anyway, I hope for the very BEST of success with the new resin coming in, Julie! Fingers crossed for you! 👍 And, YES, you are much too hard on yourself! ❤ Once again, thank you so much for the amazing amount of time you spend teaching us - in detail! - in beautifully edited videos! TY, TY, TY! ❤

As you said, you are hard in yourself and as I’ve said before I think it’s because the reality of how it turns out is different from what you imagine. I cross stitch, but I convert colors from the original designs to my own imaginings. I am actually struggling with this right now, I did a “white” conversion, but the shadowing of the fabric of her dress is in light blues and the fabric I chose is like a sky because I picture her as an angle coming out of the sky. Sadly, the fabric is bringing out the blues of the folds of the shadows of her dress so she doesn’t look like a “white conversion. I had to come to terms with that as she still turned out beautiful and ethereal looking as my mom says, she’s just not what I imagined. I put 100’s of hours of work into her so too late now…lol. People on my cross stitch sites still compliment her and love my fabric choice so I have to remind myself it’s ok she didn’t turn out how my mind expected her too, she’s beautiful how she is, just like this beautiful clock!!!
@bobbiegraham77292 жыл бұрын
Both beautiful, and you do realize the center will be covered by the hands of the clock, right? Do a small one without the white except on outside petals as trial?
@GR196112 жыл бұрын
Hi Julie , Could the higher concentration of inks in the middle ,( Alcohol base) , be effecting the way the blooming takes place ?
@SweetUrbanRose2 жыл бұрын
I think they both are beautiful. I wonder if that center peg for the clock hands is repelling the resin. As you’ve said so many times, the resin moves from the outside in and maybe the peg is pushing the resin back out making the middle kinda just freeze in place. I thought about this in first video but I felt silly speaking up but now that it’s the second try I wonder if maybe that’s the issue. I hope my thought process makes sense. Anyway, thank you for all you do and for being such an amazing inspiration ♥️♥️♥️
@genettejennings55372 жыл бұрын
They are both beautiful. I personally like the first one better. Do you think the center is not blooming the way you are hoping is because you are putting the drops of ink too close together? I noticed that when you do the outsides they are further apart. Just a thought
@ssue4q2 жыл бұрын
I just had a thought. Maybe this 'c' or dashes in the middle section's is too many small & tight. Maybe make them larger and more separated like you do on the outer ones? I don't know what do you think? OR have you tried that? Answer to your question you guys want to see another one? I would love love love to see another one several other ones 😆 😆 😆 Again I love both of these they are so flipping pretty. Would love to hang one in my kitchen!

I think it's beautiful 😍. Different from the previous one but just as pretty! I'd like to try this but with a smaller mold, say 9 inches. I can't find a mold that size anywhere 😫.

You make me laugh Julie. "I will give up. I won't make any more" .... "I might make another one" hehe. You're cute. I think this one looks lovely. I would love to see one with blues and pink and white. (I am not a fan of the brown, but that is just a personal thing) If you do make another one, I will watch (or clock hehe get it?? watch... clock... anyway). I watch all your videos, no matter what you make :) :) Have a great day.
@glassiegirl2 жыл бұрын
Hey! Love your work! You always don't like the center and say the the resin pushes to the middle. What if you just leave the center clear, nothing there, no glitter, or ink, and then start the center about 2 inches out? That gives the resin room to move and may give the look you want. I'm also in favor like others have said, of not swirling the center! I love seeing the updates on your studio, and the videos of your dogs and puppies, as well as the birds in your back yard!!

Julie, I hope you see this… is there any reason as to why this technique possibly wouldn’t work with a rectangular shape?
@mauramaguire82622 жыл бұрын
Hi, I recently sent you a message on Instagram & I don't know if you take suggestions, but I've had an idea that I think could look really pretty. I'll start by admitting that I don't actually work with resin & I don't know anything about it that I haven't learned from watching you. I really enjoy your videos. So, the idea...I've been thinking about a rainbow and the "pot of gold" supposedly at the end. I thought you could put some of the gold colored glass I've seen you make in the center, and then instead of dropping alcohol ink into the resin and using white to make blooms, you could color the resin you use for blooms with the colors of the rainbow. I thought each ring could be it's own color and that it would maybe bloom or almost blend into each other with the gold in the middle. I don't know how it would work, or if it's even possible, but I'd really love to see your take on it. I love your work!
@ssue4q2 жыл бұрын
Oh Julie I think it's gorgeous! I don't know I can't decide I love them both. I like the muted colors in the center of this one it's unusual. But I also like the sharpness of the colors in the other! I feel bad for you cuz you were struggling but then you would make me laugh at the same time by saying why am I singing my words 😆 you always give me a good chuckle. Please don't give up these are gorgeous. But PLEASE Julie how can I PURCHASE one? That is the question?? Not on your website maybe I need to look see if you have an email listed. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful masterpiece! I love the colors in both too.Oh just shoot me. sorry comment is so long💔😍🐾💐 p.s. I can't wait to see the outcome with the new resin. I bet you'll totally nail it! And yeah you're way too hard on yourself girlfriend🚦
