Been watching a lot of picking videos and I notice that's the first 4-pin including a spool in it. Usually the 4 pins are standard-only. Given some ball bearings in the locking mechanism this would be a good security device. Good video

Those are fun locks. This was my second lock I picked with security pins. It’s always nice finding something besides the Masters we’ve all already picked.

Pickaholic I honestly like the Brinks lineup much better for people to learn on they typically provide better feedback and you can actually feel what you're doing. But being left handed this one would be a real challenge with top of the keyway with lock in hand
@darthpaul1236 жыл бұрын
HelpfulLockPicker I really like the Brinks locks too. The right ones can be very hard to pick. I know the Lockpicking Lawyer just did a video on the all steel 40 mm brinks, and I have a version that’s a bit bigger, but it’s got a hidden shackle with 6 pins I’ve managed open 1 time in 2 years lol. Same with their high security locks they make for Ace hardware 😊

nice shackle pop at the end , i find brinks harder to pick, i noticed they have longer wider pins and i think they are important learning tools due to their popularity in the country.

I enjoy picking them as well and I feel they are a nice learning tool

Nice work dude. But I don’t think that Lock would secure a shed unless you upgraded the core to something like a primus assa twin Everest or something like it

I use a Canon 80D for video with the stock lens. I try to use manual focus / settings as much as possible. For sound I use: Lapel Mic-- Boya BY-M1, Shotgun Mic-- Takstar SGC-598, and USB Mic-- FiFine Metal Condenser Microphone Here is a general picture of the setup: imgur.com/ARhnWoQ

Hi. I just recently started picking and the 40mm version of this lock was my first attempt at picking. It literally was so easy and my wife was said ... "Hell, I was going to like... watch you to choke on opening this unbreakable lock."
@HelpfulLockPicker6 жыл бұрын
These are not the hardest locks out there but some can put up a little bit of a fight. I do find the 40mm variant to be excellent for teaching feedback and be a great introduction to spools

It’s a boat anchor. But still a fun lock to practice on. Thanks for the share.

Nice big lock! :D Thank you for sharing. :D The core seems to be similar in size as the 40mm? - so just the casing & shackle is bigger? For some, the big one might be easier to hold while picking. ;-) I wouldn't put this on my shed personally (as stock) as there are so many other more secure padlocks out there. I'd personally spend the extra cash for a better one for peace of mind.

4pin? Does not sound pick resistant. I hope it is not a cheap chinese padlock with a brinks brand bumper.

BlackDolphin90 I guess you never truly know but it did pick pretty well like my other ones. Drinks typically give great feedback and are better than a Master Lock No 3 to learn on

HelpfulLockPicker i will maybe pick one sometime. But Brinks locks are part of a bigger company now. I don't know but i am always skeptical of locks with a branded bumper. What is the wierdest lock name you have found? On-site? Guard? Security?
