In a similar situation - I was burgled and lost everything I owned. Started again from nothing at age 60. Got some Xmas decorations this year. Rather than leave boxes everywhere , have put all the decorations up early. It cheers me up too.

On no what a shame... but a useful tip If a car or van has central locking, you can open it remotely through a mobile phone connection.. ie your friend's wife could have pressed the unlock button in London whilst talking to you if you'd been by the van and hey presto! J

As an ex postie it will come before 1. They will break off from their route to deliver them. If it's after the time they said you can get compensation. A hint to fellow viewers if you are sending parcels to loved ones send them special delivery or tracked , management prioritise these parcels and they will deliver them first especially special delivery. I too have sent things to my daughter in Scotland and they have arrived next day. They also need a signature so don't go out as the postie isn't supposed to leave with neighbours x😊

don't know if i'm right on this but I think the postal tracker will only update when it has been processed in the next depot. So all you know there is that it's been processed in croyden and is en route overnight to Cardiff.

@KJ_2020 What happens is a parcel is scanned everytime it arrives at a place . So lets say it will be scanned in Croydon, then when it reaches Cardiff then scanned again if it goes to the local sorting office (if there is one) then scanned again to say its out for delivery then the final scan will say if it has been delivered or returned to the office if you're not in.

My birthday falls on 31st oct i have nothing to do with halloween .but for years now i have always put my christmas tree up on my birthday to have some cheerfulness on these dark evenings evenings also as a christian i say jesus is for life not just for christmas as i celebrate him each day .im off to garden center soon to buy 2potted christmas trees to placee either side of my front door.thankyou sean for all your vids x

At least your friend gets to stay another night, and therefore it gives him a rest from the long drive he had from London to you, and also you get to spend quality time together. I have used royal mail next day a few times over the years from Scotland to London when I am down in London visiting family and have forgotten something and have to phone up my partner to send it. They have always turned up the next day before 12. Fingers crossed 🤞 for you.

Hi Sean, hope the keys arrive safely - what a worry. I do know that sinking-sick panicky feeling. I do like how you said about putting your cool heads on. I will remember you saying that for future situs! Something similar happened to me years ago, I was outside with two sets of car keys, I can't remember why now but one was the master key - which I'd somehow dropped talk about panic stations as we were about to sell the car the next day! Anyway, we found them on the gravel in the end but we thought they'd gone down the drain! Btw your pub grub looked lovely! All the best to your friend, I hope he'll be okay.

Hello, been watching your videos ,as they are relaxing . I love gardening , but thought as a suggestion ,that some solar lights would look nice on your back wall..also , ypu could create more storage space in the kitchen by utilising the space above cupboards with baskets to keep tea bags etc , and also , I tend to use washed glass jars eg,jam jars etc instead of buying jars ...

Tell your mate not to worry, a good massage and a MRI booked as sounds like may have slipped disc in the neck, happens to a lot of people over 50. Anti flamatory / nurofen pills and cold pack from your shopping box will sort him out till doctor sees him.

No. Ke fear. The 'e' in kefir like the first 'e' in every. I've heard people say keefer as well. Ask someone for whom it is in their native language or pronounce it however you feel like but you are getting it wrong. Once upon a time the BBC was proud of their people being taught correct pronunciations. These days I have no idea because I no longer listen to the BBC. Or any government funded mouthpieces.
