An equal amount of men feel used regarding women who engage in casual sex: - Men are placed in the friendzone and feel used, but emotionally exploited as friends while they watch the girls they like romp out every other tall dude that they then cry about on the friend's shoulder. I'll always remember that exploitative message I got 2 years later: "Where are you when I need you?" - My silent thoughts: "(deserved curse word), I was there 4 years and you sent me down a depression. You never deserved me as a friend or anything else, and I should have realized that 2 weeks in."

It looks like you are trying to normalize the exception. Men really are indifferent to the women they "hook up" with. I find human behavior fascinating especially the difference between men and women. I have never felt or even heard of a man who has felt "used". How could he feel used, he got laid! Mission accomplished. Also men don't cry on another man's shoulder, we just ain't wired that way. We generally do something like going fishing or mountain biking and process any problems we have that way. It's like you are trying to look at a Mans view of the world through a woman's filter... It just doesn't work. Modern feminism is promoting women to be more promiscuous. But generally, that's exactly what men want. Even at my age casual sex is not difficult... But as I say, just don't expect a call the next day.

Being placed in the friendzone is not remotely equatable to the video's point. You are trying to compare the disappointment from lack of sex to disappointment from lack of commitment. These are different expectations, enforcing the video's message. I don't understand why this comment has so many upvotes.

Thank you for another excellent podcast. I'm an old married guy now, but my experiences as a twenty-something back in the 80's showed me that the male beneficiaries of casual sex represent a small portion of the male population: 10% of guys receive 90% of the casual sex in the "marketplace." I was in so many friend zones that I could barely count them, and I recall some revealing statements from some of these "friends." One of them told me that it was her goal to date a varsity athlete from every sport. Another told me (this was in medical school) that she saw a picture of me before I rotated to her department, and she thought I was hot until she found out I was short (I'm 5'7"). It never has occurred to me to say something equivalent to that statement to a woman. And then there's the moaning of these women to us zoned guys about poor treatment at the hands of the dudes they dated/boinked. I was a kind and honorable young man who would have been overjoyed to have had a long-term relationship with just one of these women. Later, when I became a practicing physician, I was suddenly attractive. As Alexander Grace pointed out in one of his videos, women following their own free will tend to form harems around a small number of high status men. The rest of us dudes did not ask for this, believe me. Thankfully, there are some great women out there that don't behave that way, but I wanted to point out that the male side of this casual sex thing isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Couldn't agree more. It's a small percentage doing the damage and causing all the ruckus. Women love to compare notes on the daily in their social lives, and even women who have a pretty good or great relationship on their hands will encounter a story or two to provoke envy/jealousy/discontent, etc. and the issues start creeping in. If a man doesn't know how to tend to the garden daily and skillfully the weeds will grow quick and choke out the relationship. The problem these days is that feminism has made women think that a man tending to his garden is "controlling" and you know no "liberated woman" wants to be "controlled"!

The thing I find most problematic about this situation is that a woman will have casual sex, find she can't avoid the emotional consequences, and then blame the man or even all men for the outcome. She made a conscious decision and the man took it at face value. He's not responsible for the fact that the outcome wasn't acceptable to her. We all make mistakes, sometimes really big ones. The healthy response is to learn from them and determine not to do that again. Having had casual sex once or a hundred times doesn't mean she has to continue in that pattern. It's perfectly possible to decide casual sex isn't appropriate for her and thereafter only have sex in the context of a committed relationship.

I admit I didn't have a chance to listen to all of this, so I hope my comments fit the topic presented. My Mother was not my best friend, but she was a very protective, intelligent and loving parent to her five children. She ran a very tight ship and she actually raised us instead of letting us find out on our own. She told me that under NOOOOOOO circumstances whatsoever should I EVER have sex with anyone before marriage. That meant abstinence until marriage. She taught my four brothers the same thing, but in a different way. This was part of her Methodist upbringing and she was raised in the deep south. She told me that the RIGHT MAN would NEVER pressure me to do anything that was against my religious views. Apparently there are dating "coaches" that teach both men and even some women how to take advantage of the opposite sex. There are women who want to date bad boys and men who want to sleep with as many women as possible before finally settling down with a virgin on her 18th birthday. I'm glad that my very straight-laced, southern Mother's teaching prevented me from trusting men who were not truly interested in me. My mother also taught me flattery and deception. Watching his actions over T-I-M-E is how one discovers character for anyone. Her teaching is still true today. She told me that many men (not all) will take as much as they can get and that my body was not for sale under any circumstances. She never permitted me to dress in tight, revealing clothes because she thought of that as false "advertising". Over the top? Maybe. I told her I had a very boring life and I wish I had a Mom who was fun. That was a horrible thing to say and I apologized for it years later. Without her teaching I'm sure I would have made many mistakes. Her years of teaching really paid off at university. She wouldn't allow me to live on campus because 18-year old girls and boys are not grown just because they've graduated high school. The guys I dated in college figured out very quickly that I wasn't giving anything out for free and they moved on to other girls who didn't have my reservations. That was a blessing! I wasn't sad at all because I knew the type of man that I wanted. I stopped dating until I found a man who didn't want me to "break my rules." THAT was the man that I married and I would have remained single had I not met him. We reached the third date and there was no pressure. We reached more dates and he had no expectations. THAT is called R-E-S-P-E-C-T! My respect and admiration for him increased as he modeled character and integrity. Sex should never be casual, but human beings find ways to rationalize things. My Mother also taught my brothers that they should not have sex before marriage and three of my four brothers took her advice. My husband and I will celebrate our tenth anniversary in March this year.

@@pharaohhermenthotip1553 Yeah, my point exactly. Even being a man myself, the idea of a woman having to "need me" as if she were a child has also bugged me. I thought the point of relationships was that we, both of us, being fully-grown adults who could take care of ourselves, are choosing to look out for each other. What boggles my mind further is that whenever I express this to people who glorify hierarchy in a marriage to a T, they reject it with outright disgust and treat it like a bad thing. Like, I'm sorry? Caring for your partner as your partner cares for you? Both of you standing on equal ground and respecting each other as people? Working together as a team? That's all somehow bad? And every time I ask them why, in a heterosexual marriage, the man has to be dominant and the woman has to be submissive, I never get a logical response. It's always, _"Well this verse in the Bible says..."_ or, _"It's just the 'natural order' of things!"_ or even, _"That's how its always been done in history!"_ The worst one I get is, _"I don't know! That's just the way it is!"_ Nothing to do with practicality, no actual proof for any of the things they say, nothing. It's so weird.

What spiritually motivated man wants to gamble that a relationship will eventually give way to the past. One content creator asserts that all relationships have an expiration date. I assert this is not necessarily true or, at least, not the way real relationships are supposed to be. It is said that men give love to get sex and women give sex to get love. I understand this show is geared towards women, but saying things like "Men have no emotional attachment after sex" feels misguided. Maybe for guys who have endless supplies of women at their disposal this is true, but for a lot of guys, having sex is also a bonding experience. Personally, the overwhelming majority of women I have been with show absolutely no attachment after sex. They regularly ghost me (50-70%) or become disinterested after 2-3 months. There have been 2 people out of like 15-20 girls who have had the typical "attachment" after sex and wanted to regularly see me. Now, I'm not saying that's healthy for them, but for me, it's more of an outlier that a girl gets attached after sex/hooking up than it is that they don't.

Men do bond after sex. Once our T levels are depleted we get a small hit of oxytocin maybe dophamine. Some men don't like the feeling or are not used to it, and worst case they become violent because they've never experienced it before. What women usually experience is the man getting rid of her quickly or him leaving or ghosting all together because the man doesn't know what to do. This is only one side of the conversation....... The oxytocin high is something many women become addicted to. Relationships start with powerful attraction and stimulation, for women it is an oxytocin "high" like a drug.... This continues as a relationship (or marriage) forms, and then tapers off leaving a woman often feeling like something is "missing". This feeling tends to be the beginning of the end for relationships and marriages. As a man it is impossible to deal with. No counseling, communication efforts, gifts, etc, can change this. It is biological. As a result many if not most women in relationships cultivate "options", feeling that the relationship is in trouble. With a new partner, the "ride", or "high" begins all over again, and peters out at the same rate. As a result marriage is a veritable minefield for men. Some women can see through this, and make a REAL commitment. Marriage and children do change the equation. They create a distraction, a bond to the children, but it is temporary. In the end it's a problem women have to negotiate because it is about hormones. Bringing fun and excitement into a relationship may help to maintain the bond, but nothing can replace the "butterflies" (oxytocin) for a woman except a new love affair. Some men and some women never learn this, a few know it instinctively, but only a few. A wise man will look at the history of the women he becomes involved with, and ask himself "do I really want to commit to this woman?"..... "is it going to end up in a train wreck?" It is not the fault of men, nor of women, it's about biology. It has unfortunately resulted in extremist feminism and movements like MGTOW, neither of which are productive. I personally do not want the "thrill ride", knowing the train wreck that is coming at the end. I remember talking about it to a lady I had a close relationship (non sexual ...my choice) with for quite a few years..... she expressed "love", but I kept things in the "friend zone". She made it clear that the "crash" at the end was worth it for the thrill at the beginning. Not for me!! The highest highs come with the deepest lows, and I do not enjoy the emotional roller coaster.... I've been there, and do not put women in a position to hurt me! It just isn't worth it. I've fallen in love many times over the years, but am a master at seeming "obtuse"...... Give it time, and like any other ailment it will pass.

You inspire us with every video that you do, Suzanne. Thank you so much! I just got done listening to Eve in Exile and the Restoration of Femininity by Rebekah Merkle, narrated by Rebekah Merkle on my Audible app. I think you and the rest of your subscribers would really enjoy it! Here is the summary of the book: “The swooning Victorian ladies and the 1950s housewives genuinely needed to be liberated. That much is indisputable. So, First-Wave feminists held rallies for women's suffrage. Second-Wave feminists marched for Prohibition, jobs, and abortion. Today, Third-Wave feminists stand firmly for nobody's quite sure what. But modern women -- who use psychotherapeutic antidepressants at a rate never before seen in history -- need liberating now more than ever. The truth is, feminists don't know what liberation is. They have led us into a very boring dead end. “Eve in Exile sets aside all stereotypes of mid-century housewives, of China-doll femininity, of Victorians fainting, of women not allowed to think for themselves or talk to the men about anything interesting or important. It dismisses the pencil-skirted and stiletto-heeled executives of TV, the outspoken feminists freed from all that hinders them, the brave career women in charge of their own destinies. Once those fictionalized stereotypes are out of the way -- whether they're things that make you gag or things you think look pretty fun -- Christians can focus on real women. What did God make real women for?” Try Audible and get it here: www.audible.com/pd?asin=B07S75YL54&source_code=ASSORAP0511160006&share_location=player_overflow

I used to wonder why our ancestors placed such strict rules on sexual behavior, to the point of genuine cruelty in some societies. Now I know. If you remove the restrictions and societal structure around it, you wind up with complete degeneracy and your entire society disintegrates in around 50 years. Which is where we're at now. There's no going back from here. It's already over. The building block of a society, which is the family, has been dismantled along with marriage. We've been set against each other as adversaries. Young women are overtly being encouraged to become literal prostitutes. Most of them are completely ruined forever by the time they're out of high school. Almost surely after college. There's no investing in someone who's been run through by dozens to hundreds of men and done every depraved thing there is. That's hopeless and self-destructive. Soon even normal relationships will be almost impossible. If not already. The natural law will eventually reassert itself, as it always must. But only after a vast amount of upheaval and misery, with the complete end of life as we know it now. That is what's coming very soon, and the only thing to do now is prepare yourself for it. It's not as dark and terrible as it sounds. It will be essential for developing spirituality and becoming attuned again to what makes life meaningful and fulfilling. But it doesn't matter how anyone feels about it, because that's what awaits us. The system cannot be saved now.

Married females (I refuse to use the term Ladies or Wife) tring to upgrade to a more wealthy man in most cases I have seen and heard about. HYPERGAMY in action EVEN AFTER being married. 80% about of divorces are filed by the wife, 20% by the husband. Guys - have it all documented BEFORE a wedding at least 6 months - I would say before an engagement! No child support if you are NOT the father, roles and responsibilities, expectations all agreed upon WELL in advance of a marriage. There some wonderful ladies out there for sure, and none of them should have any issues having an agreement ahead of a marriage. IF SHE DOES HAVE AN ISSUE WITH IT GET RID OF HER ASAP. Being African and a male I have grown to realise why African culture has always placed a higher amount of dowry (and respect) for virgins and women perceived to be purer. The sad reality is sex takes a lot out a woman than a man, it hollows her out; I’ve met many and tried to “love” hollowed out women and it never ends well. Dear Suzanne, yes, men and women are vastly different here and testosterone is also the hormone that promotes men to defend their position in the hierarchy. And yes, being the guy who has the options to sleep with many women and maximize the numbers of copies of their genes in the next generation gives a man a higher status and a higher place in the hierarchy. More women will come to also get his genes for their offspring, so that the offspring is just as successful spreading their genes. In doing so women decide that the next generation of men should be more sleeping around and less willing to attach to their female partners. The majority of men, however, end up being not that successful and actually struggle to maintain the attachment of their female partners. Not every man ends up being a superman and loads of women are not interested in male human beings. And it is the men who want and need attachment to their partners, that are unattractive to women and discarded as needy or not self-confident enough.

Men and women are wired differently, both bond but the process is definitely different. Most men are not in fact "Cold" by nature, but by nature's design, men are able to do many things with a fair amount of detachment. This enabled men to hunt and not feel bad about killing "Bambi" or "Thumper" for food. That ability also allows men to do all the things that women, as a gender, would find disgusting, things like waste management, crime scene cleanup, slaughter houses, etc., to name a few. Also, men sleep around mostly to "get off" while women's goal is to be the subject of a man's focused attention and to be desired, which for women, makes finishing less important. Both men and women are in fact driven by "Lust" but lust for men and women are very different things. Also, there is a very real window in a relationship for young people to form a lasting bond and hooking up confuses and actually often retrains the individuals psyche to not bond as nature intended. The older more traditional ways were much better for forming lasting relationships and society as a whole. However, women and society have changed and there's very little that can be done about it as today's women have no role models. The subject conditions are not likely so ever see any reversal which renders all of this merely an academic discussion. Marriage and birth rates are at all time lows and plummeting and men are opting out of dating, relationships, marriage and families as today's women have become financially, legally, emotionally and even physically dangerous. The unfortunate danger is that men can far more easily detach from intimate relationships and survive quite well while women, not so much. I'm not placing blame anywhere, it's just how society has evolved. It's NOT going to improve and as a result there will be drastic decreases in population over the next 60 years, guaranteed.

In my 20s, I had sex on my mind most of the time like most men. I liked the women but I had no intention of a relationship. Honestly, I didn't even care when we went our separate ways. I certainly wasn't looking for a wife. Marriage and kids sounded like a death sentence. I'm totally different now.

I'm kind of the opposite. Not that I didn't have sex on my mind all day, but I was very much into long term relationships / marriage and finally kids until the disinterest of women made me lose these romantic ideals. Now that I'm older (35) I don't give a fuck anymore. I believe lots of guys are very romantic when younger and would love to build a life with a sweet girl. It's just that women, especially the cute ones, aren't interested at that age. So most guys spent their younger adult years alone and find something different to pursue, as family and kids seem to be out of the question. At that point women come around and want to be wived up by them, complaining about childish men when the guys don't comply. I believe things are completely out of whack these days. And I don't think there's any remedy to it. This is a fatal diseases.

@@kmc1872 lol I knew someone would try to built his stupid arguments around that. Having ANY standards as a man is too much to ask these days. If she's not cute, not pretty... why marry her? Women arent going to marry some useless slob either. But somehow their standards isnt an issue. Unfortunately you didnt get the point though. I didnt complain that the cute girls didnt chose me (which isnt even true because some of them did), I said they weren't interested in marrying anyone. And its not just the cute girls, its all of them. But the cute girls were even less interested. Its like a game of musical chairs. Young women today cant stop dancing until its too late. And then they complain about a lack of suitable men, not understanding that they are the ones who pushed them away. All the guys I know were highly interested in building a life with a cute girl when they were 20. But the women didnt care. Now at 35 its reversed. Thats the point.
@hanswurscht6625
@hanswurscht6625 2 жыл бұрын
@@kmc1872 You're making the mistake of thinking this is an equal game. It isn't. Women are highly selective, men are not. It's pretty simple for women to be attractive: Be young, don't be fat. I've passed on exactly one good girl. But I wasn't the one who had all the choice. Like most guys I had to take what I could get. Young women are overwhelmed with choice, especially the cute and pretty ones. And what do they do with it? Nothing but complaining when the choice is gone. Men and women are in reversed situations lots of the time. No one needs young men. And no one needs old women. If I would have had all the choice as a younger man, I'd still have it as a somewhat older man (35). Young women have all the choice, young men have usually none, and older men have usually some. More and more women like to "have their fun" when young and expect good men to be there when older. That is a sociopathic strategy, as it exploits men to womens convienience. Thats why its failing. Problem is that our society is sociopathic as well, cause we dont care at all about what men want. We only care about what women want, so we cant see why that strategy fails.

Its just not true, Suzanne. Men are just as hurt, and by nature more idealistic. But because our testosterone is 15 times more, we keep our finger on the override button. Its very strange . At my age , at any rate,(59) its definitely me that is the bootycall or used. Women LOVE to hurt men. Its a stronger motivation than orgasms , because it is a type of trophy. This is why young women fail in dating. By the time they get around to deciding to pursue a serious relationship with a man, they've already been sleeping with him for weeks or months and the emotional cost of walking away is too high to allow a rational decision to be made.

What most simps, feminist fe/males, white-knights, betas and conservative guys fail to realize: bad boys provide excitement, novelty, unpredictability and fun (fear, roller-coaster drama) to a new level. In other words, stability and commitment (no longer) won't cut it for today's 🦄. Why is that? Before she was your girlfriend, wife or lover, she already had been "run through" so many guys. And each time she slept with someone (both wo/men), she lost a part of her psyche, well-being or mind/soul/spirit. In other words, she is no longer able to have emotional attachment in a healthy or committed way. Feminist's Ideology from Sheryl Sandberg, chief operating officer of Facebook: '''My advice to women is date all of them: the bad boys, the cool boys, the commitment-phobic boys, the crazy boys. But do not marry them. The things that make the bad boys sexy do not make them good husbands. When it comes time to settle down, find someone who wants an equal partner. Someone who thinks women should be smart, opinionated and ambitious. Someone who values fairness and expects or, even better, wants to do his share in the home. These men exist and, trust me, over time, nothing is sexier.''' *Sex and Culture* by Joseph Daniel Unwin *The Rational Male Series* by Rollo Tomassi *The Manipulated Man* by Esther Vilar *The Myth of Male Power* by Warren Farrell *The Feminist Lie: It Was Never About Equality* by Bob Lewis *Anatomy of Female Power* by Chinweizu Ibekwe *Men on Strike* by Helen Smith *Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars: An Introductory Programing Manual* by Anonymous Cardi B. artist & role model for the most privilege 🦄 on the entire planet: '''My music is always going to make a woman feel like a bad bitch. When you make a woman feel like she’s the baddest bitch in the room, to me, that’s female empowerment.''' Isaiah 3:12 *Childish* leaders oppress my people, and *women* rule over them. O my people, your leaders mislead you; they send you down the wrong road. Proverbs 31:3 Don't give your strength (attention, resources, mental point origen) to women, nor your ways to that which destroys kings. You have no idea how men suffer after they are rudely dumped. Most relationships, including marriages, end because girls dump the poor fool because he doesn't measure up to her expectations. My first college girlfriend use me as a placeholder. It's what happens to nice, decent, well-meaning and STUPID guys. One night she called me that she had decided to marry her "real boyfriend" and would I please take her to the airport -- in the middle or a raging rainstorm. As I was a nice, decent, well-meaning and STUPID guy, I actually did it. I should have told her to go to hell. She didn't even offer to pay for the gas. Girls are the dumpers, approaching 80 percent of the time. If Miss Valedictorian didn't want to come down with bulimia, she shouldn't have dumped him. Or if he duped her, perhaps she shouldn't have fallen for a jerk with Game and physical height over 6'2". I spend ten years in dating hell being treated like something to be ground under a girl's heel and not one cared about what she had done. Every one turned out to be a complete sociopath. Frankly, as far as I'm concerned, if one day engineers invent a reasonable artificially intelligent fembot and gestation machine, girls should go extinct. They just aren't worth the pain.

I don't understand why there is such a stigma around women wanting to have casual sex. Relationships are a greater threat to men and women than casual sex. I wouldn't tolerate ten minutes of what I've seen married women tolerate for decades. Casual sex is not for everyone, but it's better than people pretending they care about committed relationships when they really don't or aren't prepared for the commitment.

Staying in a toxic marriage is not a good thing and unfortunately people think it's okay because they're not getting divorced, therefore their marriage is successful. I don't think like that.
