In this video we show you how to add Remote Start capabilities to any small engine with electric start for only 15 dollars! We used our Mini ATV build as the platform and with only a few wires and minimal work we were able to get it to work. You can even add a DPDT relay that can work based on whenever the trigger wire (RF remote) and get a door actuator and wire the two together with the starting relay module so you have a remote start while also having the function to have your engine shine and the automatically retract back in

Throttle was stuck on my go kart when I was 11. I pulled the cord and it took off. The alignment was very good until it hit the reflector in the street then went up a curb ,did a barrel roll and landed on the hood of a lifted bronco. I yanked it off the hood and took off .

Thank you guys for this awesome tutorial. I just installed it on a 2007 CRF450X and it works perfect. My only doubt is when I shut it down the green light on the remote box stays led. Does that light will turn itself off or does it stay on permanently. I'm concerned with battery drainage since I don't used it all the time.

Great tutorial! Probably the only downside is that you can't use this with the Predator 212 electric start kit. UNLESS, you remove the factory key switch box that normally comes with the kit, and replaces it with a push-button start as you guys have.

I believe you could install this in between the key switch and the starter and still have it work. I'd have to look at one to be sure though

If you remove the governor you will need a voltage regulator not just a rectifier.

If it was me I would seal this thing up with some silicone to keep moisture out. I bet you in theory could wire a second one to kill the motor as well. Not that you would want to.

Came across your great video and some input would be greatly appreciated. BTW, doing a cold start using push button for the first start of the day you could simply control the choke and starting after that you won't need to choke. I run an exterior cleaning business so this would be great if I need to shut down and restart while im on a roof. However, my battery runs a predator 459 and a 12v chemical pump in which I run 10 gauge power and negative wires. ( Note, I don't need to start the 12v pump as they are on demand pumps so they start and stop themselves ). Will this module except 10 gauge wire or do you know of a larger unit you can recommend? Also. How would this or a bigger unit handle a 1000cca marine battery?

I did this to a riding lawn mower... it worked great 👍 simply wire tap the switch to the starter solinoid and it will work perfectly

This didn’t work for me,I got it to crank but it was a weak crank an it won’t turn over,I have a Baja DN150 go kart,did the power an ground then the one to the wire from middle wire of solenoid the other one to the solenoid and that’s how it cranked,any help would be great

Cool use of a simple wireless device!… Now you need a second one to short the kill switch! And a third with a solenoid on momentary to engage the choke and add a return spring…. The list goes on!

The Tillotson 212 is the same engine as the predator 212 just with better build quality and parts. You can get a regular Predator 212 with electric start already on it or there's kits to install electric start on any predator
