Use one spoon to scoop the mixture then pour it into a second spoon to taste, that way you only dirty two spoons because the first spoon isn’t contaminated with saliva and can be dipped into mixture over and over. Hope this tip is helpful. Wonderful to see someone so young being so confident and resourceful. Enjoyed your video.

I’m just an old lady, but, we’ve been cooking, tasting and double dipping forever! Anything at a simmer would kill any germs and what could make it through cooking temps would die in your stomach acids. I’m sticking to one spoon, less dishes. I’m too old to care about being “cancelled”.

@@whitestone4401 it was just a helpful tip in response to her stating she will run out of clean spoons, it’s also a consideration to viewers that may be grossed out by double dipping and for her to ward off nasty comments by the “food police critics” that may be watching. Nothing more. 🙂

I personally love the Mix n Chop for cooking ground meat, but didn't love the idea of having yet another utensil with only one use. After looking into it a bit, I found that it can be used to make applesauce, crushing berries for jam, salsa, guac, refried beans, mashed potatoes (if you don't want them completely smooth), mashed banana for bread, crushing crackers or cookies for crusts, cutting butter into flour, and shredding chicken/pork. However, I do also have four different size cookie scoops (also not just for cookies) so I might just have a slight obsession with kitchen utensils...

I only cut onions for the immediate meal. Your kitchen your rules, but that’s where food poisoning comes from (example its not the mayo in potato salad, its the onions.) they soak bacteria from the air. Years ago the ones that didn’t die from the plague had onions all over their homes.
