but you are definitely right about the 10 abreast seats. I flew in from Chicago last month, September and July and two of those flights were operated with a 10 abreast configuration. the 10 abreast is fine for short haul but for this flight, it is just simply unimaginable. ( my flight in July was 15hours ad 50 minutes)

Last summer I flew sfo to hkg round trip. Outbound was on bkpy with 10 abreast and inbound was bkqr with 9 abreast. I’m surprised to say this but the new 10 abreast seating seemed to be better as the new seats are well padded, have a better headrest, and a VASTLY SUPERIOR entertainment system

I do agree in terms of the hard product (seat) and the use of new IFE on new firmware, the experience is pretty good.

Indeed...I originally would fly out with Cathay this week but they cancelled the flight so I cancelled my trip as well. Have another flight booked for next month and hopefully it would work this time!

Great video once again! Anyone feel like they like the old IFE map with the rolling banner more than the new controllable maps. I like this style more than the A350 ones especially if the new controllable map is super lagging on the 777 system.

They serve the second meal 6 hours before landing? I flew Turkish Airlines (Istanbul to Boston) and they gave me my dinner when we started to descend. 😂😂.

It was in late Sep 2018. I guess the loading between Chicago and HK dropped quite a bit in recent years even before COVID. When I first took this route 6 years ago it was full in both directions

Not really I flied into SFO on a A350-900 instead. Interestingly I flied CX806 to ORD a few years ago back when the long haul fleet was still using the hard-shell non-reclining type of seat
